If only it were not "smart" - it's erratic at best
I returned it in less than a month because the "smart" TV was erratic at best. The Sony TV bit might be OK. The built-in Google TV bit kept working then not working then working then not working totally randomly. I have only bought Sony TVs since maybe the early 1980s. The last two (bought this year) were a disaster. I have now replaced them with two LG TVs (which don't have Google TV) and they appear to work OK. I can only wish simple, non-smart TVs were still available... "Smart" in this case means "unreliable"...
Bit Dissapointed
Excellent picture (which is what it is all about really).....but was very disappointed that I when connected my bluetooth headphones the sound from the TV speakers stopped. I am hard of hearing and use bluetooth headphones to watch TV with my wife.....For us both to hear the TV I have had to purchase a optical bluetooth transmitter.......I didn't have that problem with my old Sony Bravia
So many features.
Bought my tv about 6 weeks ago. So many features to use. I'm 76 and not a technophob so it will take me a wee while to come to grips with all of them
Excellent features good sound quality good picture
We bought this 2 weeks ago . Excellent quality good picture good sound quality
A good product
We are quite pleased with our new Sony Bravia 3. It appears to be more capable than I am when trying to set it up to our liking.
One thing we don't like is that we don't appear to be able to turn it off from our sky remote, yet we can turn it on from that remote.
Excellent mid range TV
So far, excellent product, clear and good quality picture, sound not great, but I use an AV receiver, so not a worry for me
Things aren't what they used to be..
Needed a new TV but the vast array of models and smart features on offer is a minefield to a technophobe like me.
In the end I went for like for like, paid a bit more and hoping for reliability, got a Sony Bravia.
Build quality is nothing like my old one. Made from cheaper plastic it's even a bit wobbly on the stands.
It's a great picture (the main feature) but I'm left vaguely disappointed and wondering what I have actually paid extra for.
Sony TV K-43S3
So far so good… It looks and works great and I hope it will last many years
Go to choice.
3rd model of Sony Bravia we have owned and gets better every time.
A very smart tv
Had this tv for a couple of weeks now and am very happy with it . Bought it to replace my old Bravia tv which had done the job for 17 years . Picture quality and sound is of a high standard , with vibrant colours and decent enough sound quality to not need a soundbar for my needs . The slim frame sits nicely on my tv stand and the screen seems bigger than the 43 inch I chose on this occasion . My sky and dvd were easy to set up though I’ve not utilised the google tv platform or voice control yet as I already have streaming apps and voice activation on another platform . Overall a good purchase at the price and a six year guarantee to boot . I’ve always bought Sony tvs as they invariably have a high standard of viewing pleasure and reliability .
Limited audio options.
Great TV which we purchased on the 17/4/26. Can only give it 4 stars though due to bluetooth not being able to operate tv speakers independently to my hearing aids. It's one or the other, not both at the same time.
Big Mistake
Big mistake buying this Sony TV, there is far too much unecessary gimmicary, you dont need to talk to your tv just press the selection button, when you switch it on it should go to the last channel you watched not give you multiple choices of things you may want to watch, if you dare to hurry the set along and push several buttons it has a right hissy fit because its not warmed up or sorted its self out. Absolute Junk!!!
Not impressed
Tbh I am not impressed with the quality of the picture nor the sound I had to by a sound bar to be able to hear properly, my old Samsung was superior picture quality and sound
Great picture
Great picture from all angles, easy to set up, compatible with Google. Happy with this TV!
Superb product
Very pleased with this TV. It does everything we need & the picture quality is outstanding. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend
Not impressed.
Bought this a couple of weeks ago. I find the sound is very poor. The picture via the aerial in SD is poor, the picture in HD is slightly better, very disappointing. The picture via Sky Q is much better. Overall, I regret this purchase. Previous TV was also a Sony, in my opinion the sound and picture were much better on this TV altho the TV was 7/8 years old.
Great picture and sound quality .
This was bought for me as a present . I’m very happy with it . Great picture, price and quality. I would recommend it.
Love it
Bought this tv a couple of weeks ago.
Great picture and easily installed and operated.
I would thoroughly recommend 👌
Great tv!
happy with tv, Easy to navigate, good picture and sound.
Decent Tv
I bought the tv a few weeks ago. Considering it is not top their range, l am pleased it
Not Happy
I am in my late sixties and found the TV hard to set up. My Sonos bar keeps dropping out, so every time I put the TV on I have to unplug the bar and reconnect it. My told by the Rep in Curry's that it was very easy to do. Not as good as the Sony TV I have just got rid of.
I didn't buy the set for this
I bought a new television to watch TV programmes.
Sony appear to have entered into a deal with Google whereby I will sign up for a supposedly better experience.Every time I switch on the set there is a screen asking me to sign into Google.
I do NOT want to sign into Google. I do not want to give them more information about myself through my sewing habits. If they want me to sign up to their service they can pay me to do so.
There appears to be no way the I can get rid of this screen without signing up.
Frankly this is obscene. Had I known that Sony had entered into this deal I would not have bought the set.
As to the set, it's definitely an improvement on the previous Sony Bravia we had
Enquiry
What has happened to time shift. I find I can’t pause live TV anymore. All my previous Bravias had this. Is it me?
Great TV.... But...
SONY is the leading brand if the subject is "TV". I didn't hesitated to buy it. It's quality product.
BUT....
there is something off with the sound system, I cannot pinpoint what the issue is but something is not right. I'm not talking about "banging" noises etc, it's there. What I'm talking about the balance of the sounds, one moment you can hardly hear the voices, the next minute it's banging! There are various settings related to sound but, somehow, it doesn't sound correct. My previous 10 yrs old Sony had better sound quality.
