It’s a very well-designed machine that prepares coffee with minimal effort — simply add the coffee beans and it grinds them automatically.

Once you select your preferred coffee style, the machine takes care of everything, delivering a rich, freshly ground flavour along with perfectly frothed milk. One of its best features is the flexibility it offers, allowing you to froth milk on its own or dispense hot water if you fancy a different hot drink.

Overall, trying this machine was an excellent choice, and it has completely elevated my daily coffee routine.

Not a big deal, but unexpected — I’m guessing the touchscreen just didn’t register the tap correctly.

One thing I really like is how quiet it is. Compared to other brands I’ve had, this one makes noticeably less noise, especially during grinding, which is something I really appreciate in the morning.

On the other hand, the water usage is definitely higher than I expected. Every time it turns on or off, it runs cleaning cycles that use quite a bit of water. It keeps the machine clean, yes, but you end up refilling the tank more often than you’d think.

Apart from that, maintenance is easy and the automatic cleaning works well.

Overall, it’s a great-looking machine that makes very good coffee and is quieter than most. It has its small quirks, but nothing that ruins the experience. If you want a premium automatic machine, it’s a strong option.

The coffee has a very good flavor and it has several recipes available, although to be honest, I expected more. The touch screen is very comfortable for selecting the coffee to your liking and is very intuitive.

But not everything is good. For me, the biggest flaw it has is that in the middle of 2025 it doesn't have any kind of connectivity, especially for a high-end coffee machine. It would be great to be able to program it to turn on before I get up and save time, or to be able to customize a recipe on a smartphone and add it to my profile. These are features that other lower-priced coffee makers already include, which is why I consider it a very big failure.

Also keep in mind that the coffee machine is large; you might not find a place for it in a small kitchen.

Other than that, I really like the coffee machine; I had never drunk so much coffee until now!

I can make a lot of different drinks and adjust the intensity of the coffee, the amount in the cup, the temperature and even save the favorite settings for six different users. You can use coffee beans or ground, cow's milk or vegetable.

Automatic cleaning is a real plus, and alerts guide the user step by step. Aesthetically it is very beautiful and does not take up too much space. The materials are of quality and the design is amazing. The color touchscreen is a nice plus, and the machine is not too noisy. Being the first time I try an automatic machine of this type, I can say that it is fast and intuitive.

The only aspect to improve is the waste of water, since the machine cleans itself automatically both when turned on and off. In addition, it is not possible to prepare ginseng and hot chocolate.

It’s robust, and the exterior material feels very resistant. It’s very easy to clean, and it also includes an auto-cleaning system after each use.

It has an incredible variety of drinks. What I like most is that you can customize them however you want, and you can also save them in each user’s profile. The temperature the coffee comes out at is ideal, because it doesn’t burn you, and this really surprised me. And in general, I think it’s very easy to learn how to use it, because the instructions on the screen are clear and concise.

Now, its price seems excessive to me, especially because it has shortcomings you wouldn’t expect in such a high-end device. While it’s true that it lets you prepare drinks with both types of coffee, when it comes to ground coffee, you have to add it one by one every time you make a drink, but the worst part is that if you take too long to choose a drink, it throws it away without making it. The milk dispenser should come with a suction cup to prevent spills. And I think it should have a system to add sugar. Finally, I believe the amount of water it uses for cleaning every time it turns on and off is excessive.

Aside from this, I really liked it, but I think the quality-to-price ratio is too high.

As I’m allergic to milk and can’t handle caffeine very well, I never had a real coffee habit at home because, simply; caffeine-free instant coffee isn’t that good. And because of my specific demands, there was always a threshold when ordering a caffeine-free, lactose-free latte at the coffee shop. The KitchenAid Fully Automatic Espresso Machine is my barista at home now! The machine is so easy to use; you have lots of different coffee choices, and you can adapt each selection in volume, strength, temperature and the order of the coffee vs milk. And the real big advantage is that the machine cleans itself. You can keep the milk reservoir in the fridge, and after every use the machine cleans the milk tube itself. I catch myself craving a coffee now in the evening as well, as I really love all the different styles and it’s so easy to use. I couldn’t live without this machine anymore!

I have been a kitchenAid fan for several years now, when I was asked to try this machine I was super excited! Installing en getting to know the ins-and outs was super easy. The machine feels luxurious and is on the heavy side, which gives you a feeling of sturdiness and durability. You can preset favorites and add them to an account. The cofffee is hot, which you can preset - 3 settings to choose the warmth of your coffee. I have never experienced a coffee machine so versatile and easy too handle and quiet.

The only negative thing I can add is when you choose a "normal" black coffee it slowly pours out, but it gives me some extra time to wake up (lol).

The machine cleans itself when you have used the milk cannister, it promptly gives you a reminder when ANYTHING needs to be done.

Truly, I would recommend the investment...

I’ve always avoided home espresso machines because I didn’t want to deal with all the parts, measuring, cleaning, and maintenance. That’s why I stuck to my daily Senseo. But this fully automatic espresso machine from Kitchen Aid is so easy to use. It practically does everything for you. The color touchscreen guides you through every step of setup and maintenance. Once the machine is set up, you can choose from different drink presets and adjust them to your liking. You can create and save profiles so you can select your favorite drink with just one touch. You can also make your own drinks by adjusting the number of shots and separately steaming the milk. With some tweaking, the default settings work fine for me, but when I have the time, I love making my own drink from scratch. I also like that the machine reminds you to run cleaning cycles for the milk hose, and that the cleaning cycles automatically run on the system itself. Most people tend to delay cleaning their machines, but these reminders keep me on track. The used espresso gets condensed into small pucks that end up in the tray at the bottom of the machine, making them easy to dispose of. Like any product, though, there are a few things that could be improved. One peculiarity of this machine is that you always need to place a container under the spout when turning the machine on or off, as it automatically runs a cleaning/rinsing cycle, ready or not. I’ve learned to keep a small pitcher nearby for this reason. Also, the default temperature for hot drinks is set to Medium, which isn’t really that hot. If you’re used to the temperature of hot coffee, you’ll need to adjust this. Very happy with this machine!

Thanks to this, neither I nor my husband have to wait long for our coffee. This option is also perfect for frequent guests. Another innovative solution for me is the removable container for coffee beans. I didn't have such a thing in any of my previous coffee machines and the coffee was constantly spilled around the machine. It is very easy to use, and the ability to choose one of over 40 coffee configurations means that everyone can choose the perfect taste and consistency. The machine is well designed (looks great on our kitchen countertop!) and very user friendly. It's extremely silent (way quieter than any of my previous machines) and every piece (lids, water container, etc.) you can/need to handle from time to time feels robust.

The machine helps you take proper care of it through automated cues, it asks you to clean every time you make a milk-based drink for example, so it's easy to keep the machine in tip-top shape. The frequency can be a bit annoying but it will keep the machine in great shape for a long time so it's understandable.

Ok, that all sounds really nice… But how’s the coffee?? 😉 I’ve tried quite some different recipes (the machine can make dozens of drinks, including ones I’ve never heard of like the “espresso lungo” which is probably just a double espresso 😊, and they all taste great. It depends on the coffee you feed it of course but the machine handles all drinks with ease and provides consistent quality. There are a lot of settings you can use to tweak your drink such as strength or amount so if something is not to your liking it’s easy adjust it. The machine provides a smart prompt after a new drink to “add it to your profile” so if you’ve found the settings you like for your espresso/cappuccino/whatever it’s easy to save the settings for next time.

The only thing that my previous machine did better was frothing milk. As the KF8 uses a separate milk container and froths it within the machine it’s not as good (at least to me) as frothing milk with a steam pipe. It’s still very good and tasty, just not as perfect as you can get it yourself with a steam pipe and some practice.

All in all this is a great machine with a gorgeous design, excellent coffee and a very silent grinder. It’s not leaving my kitchen countertop any time soon 😉

Additionally, the large touch display does the job. A very nice water container in which we can always see how much water is left, a removable coffee container. The milk container is large and sufficient. A big advantage is the frequent automatic rinsing of the coffee machine, which prevents the accumulation of coffee deposits. The number of coffees that can be made in this machine is unimaginable, you didn't know that such coffees even existed, so you can test and try different coffees until you finally find something for yourself, the coffees can be edited to fit them as best as possible. The guests who visited us were impressed by the coffee machine's appearance and what it has to offer. I really recommend this coffee machine to undecided people. The downside is the price, but the amount of coffee selection and their quality makes up for it.

We drink coffee every day and love all kinds of delicious coffees. It is a beautiful, compact, sturdy coffee machine. Very well made! We’ve had several coffee machines, but this one is really the best. It makes incredibly delicious cappuccinos, cortados, lattes, but also regular coffee and frothed milk. The milk jugs fly through it 😊 The screen is nice to look at, easy to read, and easy to operate. This model has the largest screen. It is self-cleaning, which is very nice, but it also rinses a lot. Sometimes that’s annoying when you want to quickly make a cup of coffee. Other than that, we haven’t discovered any drawbacks.
