Replacement for an older one,This is so much better, lighter and the philips app for it is very good and easy to use,with on screen introductions and tips how to use. Very good filtration on it and you don't know it on when in auto mode well pleased.

It has always been difficult throughout the seasons as I am asthmatic and find it hard to breathe due to the pollen. I lie in bed at night struggling; I get up in the morning and reach for my inhalers. Life has been difficult, with my breathing feeling like I am constantly sucking through a straw.

A friend happened upon an article and forwarded to me as she hoped it might be a solution. Sceptical at first, I went out an purchased the Philips PureProtect Mini 900 Air Purifier and have never looked back. From day one my breathing eased, with the elephant sitting on my chest finally disappearing. The air was cleaner, lighter and my difficulty with breathing improved. As it is small, I can easily take it up to my bedroom at night, or bring it down during the day. Sleep mode at night is whisper silent, which is a bonus as I am a light sleeper. My quality of sleep is much improved and getting out of bed in the morning I no longer feel exhausted, as with my PhilipsPure, all the pollutants in the air which used to make me struggle to breathe at night are no longer a problem. In summary, I would just add that I honestly believe that this device has answered all my prayers and I would recommend it to anyone who struggles from respiratory conditions. Obviously I still take my asthma meds but I have come to realise there are other devices out there that compliment and support my prescription medication.

Has helped to no end, with us both feeling better in ourselves and dialling down her allergies significantly. Surprised as to how bad the air quality was. We leave it on over night which gives us the peace of mind. Only improvement as a techy would be to get the smart one, however you can pair with a smart plug & monitor if needs be. Great otherwise though.

I have just bought this twice - but like everyone else who has bought this, there are no filters for it and there have not been any filters for over a year! Just check out the filter for this 900 series on the website and all you get is the notify me when back in stock button.. People have been waiting since mid 2024 for stock - so all these positive reviews are great - until your filter neds replacing then what are you going to do?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The purifier is about the size of a wastepaper bin, it is not noisy unless you have it on the turbo setting then it sounds like a desk fan in the summer. It has 4 settings, automatic, sleep, medium and turbo. It is not unattractive, nor beautiful. It is functional and in my experience in automatic mode it works harder if a spray aerosol air freshener is used - so I know it likes to clean that from the air. Easy to set up, take off external plastic sleeve, open up the purifier where the filter sits and again, remove a plastic sleeve, put back together, plug the power lead into the appliance and then the socket, switch on and you are ready to choose your setting. I would recommend downloading the manual, the icons on the quick set up guide are a tad ambiguous. On automatic it creates a light breeze where it is pulling in the air, cleaning it and letting out the new fresh air. From the manual it looks like you can clean the filter with the vacuum cleaner and very gently clean the particle sensor with a cotton bud. If the air in your room is not clean there is a colour indicator on the top of the purifier which goes from blue - good air to red - very poor air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with asthma and general sensitivity to allergens, the PureProtect Mini 900 AC0921 has been fantastic! It didn't take me long to set up the device as the instructions were very clear and precise, once it was set up and turned on, it felt instantly more airy and a neutral smell throughout my living spaces, whereas before there would be a lingering smell whether it was from cooking or from drying my laundry.

I typically use my air purifier on auto mode, this really has done wonders for my asthma since it has significantly reduced the need to use my inhaler several times a day.

The points that maybe goes against it would be that it would be very useful if it was a smart device that can be accessed through an app and WIFI, there is a subtle droning sound which can get louder when it speeds up.

The only disappointment was during set up I was asked to connect to the Internet only to later find out that this particular model does not have that facility. It would be nice to be able to control it from the app Which asks you to download during the set up. Not withstanding this I Would recommend it for small rooms within the house.

We've been using it for about two weeks now, and we are very satisfied with its performance. My spouse's sneezing has noticeably reduced, and the mornings are much more comfortable.

One feature we particularly appreciate is the sleep mode. When it's running at night, the noise level is so low that it doesn’t disturb our sleep at all. Overall, it's an excellent product that has made a visible difference in our daily lives. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with similar issues!

It does an excellent job of continuously sampling the atmosphere and increasing the speed of fan filtration upon detection of smell etc. My wife burnt toast accidentally and the Purifier was quick in action to increase the fan intensity to clear the burnt smell from the room.

The biggest drawback is that there is no proper information that the model lacks app support. So no Alexa or automation capabilities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought solely to try and assist my partners asthma throughout the night this little machine has managed to filter and clear a room that we believed did not need any work carried out on it.

The initial setup was extremely straight forward and can be used basically from out of the box - no need to link it to the mobile app as this unit does not have wifi or bluetooth connectivity. Very straight forward for those of us who do not want to link to our phones or digital selves.

An incredibly quiet machine it runs automatically in relation to how many particles it deems as dangerous within the household. We tried a number of rooms at different times of the day and noticed that it is extremely sensitive to both deodorant and perfumes. As the air becomes more polluted the speed of the fan increases and fills the room of more filtered air.

There is a night mode to dim / remove all lights and colours from the unit and allows for a peaceful sleep without impacting light leakage.

All in all it was a good purchase and has led to much easier and clearer air for both my partner and myself throughout the evenings and nights.
