I was convinced by people to go for the 850 chipset over the 870E as it should do everything you need. And it does, BUT on this board two of the M2 slots power down the PCIe 5 slot to 8x rather than 16x which kind of renders those two slots unusable for a serious gaming rig. The sound card is a hard wired USB one and I miss the 5.1 output that motherboards had a few years ago. I had to spend extra on an external sound card. This seems true of all boards these days and for me it's disappointing. It has Optical - but alas it seems a little Skippy on some codecs, but that may just be my setup

But the board, VRMs and other bits are fantastic and the addition of USB4 and Wifi 7 via third party chips is a nice but of future proofing.

So a bit harsh giving it a 4/5 based on that - but i DO recommend. It's pretty too!

This motherboard has all a gamer needs to have a great gaming pc build, performance is amazing, quality is great, visuals are great too, i mean there is nothing to complain about this board.

Love it and bet anyone who own it will never regret it too. Well done Asus
