Bought earlier this month to replace Bose QuietComfort as unable to wear them with hearing aids, these feel very comfortable and secure on the ear.

I am torn on these earbuds. Indoors and in a quiet setting, the sound quality is amazing. The immersive sound when sitting still, blew me away. Stunning sound and it felt like it was filling the room. I looked around my communal office because I thought everyone could hear, but no one batted an eyelid. I also like the controls, with buttons rather than a touch, no accidental changes.

So why am I torn?

I don't know what I expected from "Open Earbuds" but in a built up area, without noise cancelling, the peripheral sound is too much. Living in London, it's rare that I'm in a quiet area.

To summarise, if you are using these in the office or at home, or any quiet surroundings, they are brilliant. If you are commuting and living in a built up area, they're still good but either take a bit of getting used to or not suitable at all. I just can't decide.

I bought these as soon as I was able to - before release based on my previous experience with BOSE products and brand respect. They are a great design - unusual, very comfy and great to wear for an extended period. However, I am disappointed with the sound quality. They are missing some rich, deep bass that I was expecting; they make the music sound tinny and flat.

Amazing sound and very comfortable to wear. I bought them because I don’t like anything in or over my ears, so it is great to be able to listen to my music privately. Classical music sounds particularly well.

I have had a pair for two years now and recently a friend asked me to order some for her. The set up is very easy but she struggled with registering on the app but absolutely loves the quality of the sound

I too like the quality of the sound but sometimes find the fit is not tight enough and have to press them to get a greater volume/sound so that’s why I have given a total 4 star rather than 5 review

Having read the reviews I was concerned that on a call people might not hear me. I need not have as the sound is crisp and everyone can hear me on a Teams call. They are incredibly comfortable and it’s great not having anything in my ear. I absolutely love them.

I've barely had these a month and I'm returning them.They look fantastic and I thought this design would be different and better but unfortunately the sound quality isn't the best, they're pretty uncomfortable around the ears and I've found that both of my earbuds don't always connect at the same time which is a bit annoying. I love Bose products so it must just be this style that I'm not a fan of!

So much better than my bone conductor headphones . Really good sound and i can still hear traffic. They feel secure when running and cycling

Great product! Having had problems with ear pods and overear headphones being too heavy these are just perfect!

I bought these for my wife because she struggles trying to find headphones for her small ears. I own a pair and she tried mine on a run and was very impressed. Got them on sale so I was nearly as happy as she was

For someone who can’t get earbuds to stay in these have been brilliant quality build and sound great the only issue I have is they are stated as Made for IPhone which I don’t get as they do not show up on find my iPhone and even the Bose app won’t find them which is disappointing I really don’t get why this feature is not available it’s 2026!!!!!

Definitely a good purchase as the sound for open ear earbuds it's as good as it gets with the ability to hear others as you listen to music 🎶

I really like them. I can’t wear in ear buds so these are ideal. The sound is great and they are easy to use.

I’m actually undecided about these earbuds. However it’s nothing to do with quality or service or sound quality. It’s to do with my personal opinion and my history with earphones/bud. I’ve always used noise cancelling ones and these ones are not. The quality of the charging case and the buds themself is perfect. The buds themselves are fantastic quality and so light to wear you can easily forget you have them in. My only negative it that they are not noise cancelling and I am struggling to get used to that but because of all the positives I’m going to continue using them and becoming more used to them.

Only one week old and already exceeding all expectations. They are paired with my smart soundbar 600…. Just Awesome!

I bought these as the in-ear buds in general were causing inner ear issues.

Generally pleased with them. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

My first Bose earphones. The sound is very good, maybe the best way to describe the sound is full, vibrant and complete.

The build quality is excellent and the aesthetics are excellent, they are a beautiful design.

The fitment is innovative but doesn't fit my ears well. When I press the bud into my ear, the sound is amazing but the speakers dont sit close to my ear canal when relying on the fitment. I think the universe fitment doesn't match my ear which is disappointing.

I am extremely impressed with the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds! The design is brilliant – they are incredibly lightweight and so comfortable that I completely forget I'm wearing them. The sound quality is superb, offering amazing clarity and a surprisingly deep space without blocking your ears at all.

The only minor downside is that the Bose Music app doesn't show the exact battery percentage of the charging case, so you have to rely on the LED light indicator on the case itself. Other than that, everything is absolutely perfect so far. Highly recommend them!

Great Fit, But No One Can Hear Me I am highly disappointed with this product. I gave it 1 star because the main reason I bought these earbuds does not work.While they fit perfectly in my ear, they are useless for phone calls. I can hear the other person perfectly clear, but they cannot hear me at all. To have a conversation, I am forced to either shout at the top of my lungs or turn off Bluetooth completely and switch to my phone's speaker.Looking through the other reviews, I see that I am not the only person experiencing this exact issue. This is clearly a widespread defect with the microphone. The manufacturer needs to fix this design flaw immediately. I do not recommend buying these if you need to make phone calls.

I was an early adopter of open ear, appreciated the joy of music and the sound of life. The new Ultra have better depth of sound and improved volume. Love them.

Bought a few weeks ago on a bit of a whim.

Always had a fondness of Bose products, mainly because of their sound, ergonomics & longevity. I feel even though premium, they offer fantastic value for money.

I also have a set of QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds II - so these felt excessive, but I use earphones most days & I felt these serve a very different purpose.

These don't have the sound quality of the Earbuds (I had one first gen & the second are a huge step up in terms of design & audio performance), but they are a very good functional alternative. How the sound engineers have managed to get them to sound like they do is beyond me.

I use these for short train journeys, commuting, days when the office is busy, jobs around the house & dog walks & then my Earbuds for longer train journeys, the gym & when I don't need to hear my ambient surroundings.

My top tip is follow the fitting carefully & then the important bit - move downwards so the speaker is as close to the ear canal as possible. They do feel like they'll fall out - it is very odd, but so far they haven't come out at all - including on a quick 6 mile run.

Was wanting to hate these but ended up loving them!

Unfortunately feel like I need to finish the collection now with the new Ultra Headphones II!:)
