After using the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 34" (G85SB) for a few weeks, it is easily one of the best monitors I’ve ever owned. The jump from a standard LCD/IPS display to QD-OLED is night and day.

Contrast & Colors: The QD-OLED panel delivers true pitch blacks and hyper-vibrant colors. Games with HDR look stunning, especially in dark scenes with bright highlights.

Speed: The 175Hz refresh rate paired with the 0.03ms pixel response time makes motion insanely smooth. Ghosting is essentially non-existent, making fast-paced FPS and racing games feel effortless.

The monitor itself is strikingly thin with a premium, sleek metallic silver finish.

The back subtle core lighting adds a nice ambient touch to my desk setup without being overly tacky.

The built-in USB-C port with power delivery makes it super convenient to plug in a laptop with a single cable.

1. Things to Keep in Mind (The Nitpicks)
   
   

Micro/Mini Ports: Samsung chose Mini DisplayPort and Mini HDMI ports instead of full-sized ones. Make sure you have the right cables/adapters ready for your setup.

Smart TV Interface (Tizen OS): The built-in Smart TV apps and included remote are convenient for streaming movies without turning on a PC, but navigating menus can occasionally feel clunky if you just want a standard monitor settings menu.
