    BQ16 for quick-fire Internet

My current set up was an ET12 PRO and BT10 each connected separately to Full Fibre. The BQ16 replaced the ET12, again with an independent connection to Full Fibre, as AI Mesh was had slower output. The BQ16 WiFi 6 output close to the router was well in excess of 5000Mbs, but the MLO was slower, maybe due to MLO appearing to have difficulty combining WiFi 6 to WiFi 5 and 2.4. Overall, it provides a very good signal, but the retail price is excessive, particularly as this is not the Pro version with two WiFi 6 channels. I'll add that I've used ASUS routers for years running 24/7, and they have never failed.

    Asus BQ16 Zenwifi Mesh System

A top notch piece of equipment, but you would expect that because of what you pay for it.

It's easy to setup, virtually plug and play, great WiFi coverage. If you can hard wire your node you will have use of the 2 x 5Ghz channels, if that's not possible, then one of the 5Ghz channels is used for your wireless backhaul between the main router and the node.

I'm hoping I've future proofed my Internet setup for many years due to this being WiFi 7, as long as that is the case, the price I paid for it will worth it.

Great router+node but lacks setup documentation

The ZenWiFi BQ16 is a great product I have been looking at for a while to replace my one gigabyte home network even though I have 3Gbps coming into the the house. Close to each other, the 2 pack units works great and the speed was almost the the ISP incoming speed. However, a couple of plaster board walls apart drops the speed by a third. I am ok with this, it is way better than my old mesh setup. I know that wireless backhaul can be notorious with interferences everywhere.

The most annoying thing for me is the lack of proper documentation on the set-up. ASUS has done a terrible job on this. I found better videos on the router and AIMesh setup online than on Asus included documentation and website.
