the best 65% keyboard ever
Arvosana 5/5

A bit pricey, but well worth the money (there is a plastic version of this keyboard, which is cheaper, and the nordic layout is in general more expensive than the "regular" ones). I bought this to replace ROG Falchion that started falling apart ~2 weeks in, from regular typing, not even gaming. This one is much better built, 100% quieter and somehow much more pleasant to the touch. It *is* about 5 times heavier, but for me that's also a plus. The keycaps themselves are opaque, the backlight is only seen from between them (unlike Falchion), but for me that makes no difference.

Then, comes the fun part: it's fully programmable, 5 "layers" (layer 0 is the default Fn1 is layer 4 and Fn2 is layer 5), rotary knob turns/press. All the QMK/VIA goodness: layer switch/layer toggle/tap-hold/macros/etc.

Disclaimer: the box comes with a quick start cheat sheet and some (I'm assuming) extensive documentation from the manufacturer, that I did not read. If you do, everything below may not matter for you.

Out of the box, you'll need to update its firmware to the latest one from keychron's website, using the VIA app (runs in chrome, no installation required). Then, you can use the same app to set up the layouts, macros, backlight settings, etc.

VIA app, like all open source, is not user friendly in the slightest, but after an hour of poking at it, you can get most things set up. For the rest, you'll have to look at the source code. It does have documentation, but again, like all open source, it's written for people who already understand how it works. None of that is a downside for me, but your mileage may vary.

Then, save the layout as a JSON file and either edit it by hand or use another online editor, and reupload it via VIA app. Or, you don't have to do any of that if the defaults work for you.

All in all 5/5, no notes.
