This 8 core, 16 thread CPU has been working very well for me. I paired it with an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 Pro cooler, and with its low TDP my idle temperatures have been sitting between 29 and 37, depending on ambient. I haven't tried overclocking it, as I don't see a reason to do that so far. The base clock rate has been more than sufficient for me.
Works well with the Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU for a fast and smooth gaming experience on Linux with Proton.
This processor is more than sufficient for the vast majority of users, and I think it has an excellent value for money, relative to its performance.
5 star rating. Highly recommended for budget builds on the higher end of the spectrum.
