Excellent lens very sharp images

I purchased this lens after using it on a demo 5d mk4. Since buying the kens I have used it to photograph Butterflies and insects. I look forward to using the lens more often.

I bought this for macro shots. However, I'm using it much more regularly as a prime for portraits.

I own this lens for over 10 years. It is my go lens for jewellery photography on a full frame camera. It izs accurate, sharp, with surprising magic.

Helppo käyttää, helppo tarkentaa. Olen erittäin tyytyväinen objektiiviin ja kuviin mitä sillä saa. Parhaat makrokuvani olen tuolla saanut otettua.

I bought this lens for my 21 year old’s Christmas present. He was absolutely delighted and immediately thrilled with the difference it made to his photos. He has used it every day since and his interest in photography has increased 10 fold.

In the process of becoming familiar with the use of the macro lens first impressions excellent. It was recommended to me by a professional photographer.

Been using it for a few years for a variety of scenarios, and it's never disappointed me. Extremely sharp, zero distortion or CA. A little pricey.. the unstabilised version is quite a bit less, but the benefit of stabilisation warrants spending the extra.

Ostin objektiivin syksyllä -19. Hyvä obiska, ainoa miinus tulee, kun obiskassa on heti uutena pölyä sisällä. Pölyroskat näkyy lähikuvissa, jos on esim. harmaa tausta. Obiska kävi huollossa, mutta siellä todettiin, että laite on valmistajan standardin mukainen. Elikkä ei ole lika- ja pölytiivis.

Ostin objektiivin syksyllä -19, hyvin on toiminut. Mutta pieni ongelma on, että objektiivin sisällä on pölyhiukkasia, mitkä näkyy varsinkin lähikuvissa, jos on harmahtava tausta. Esimerkiksi kuvaan esineitä ja kuvaa suurentaessa (kuvakäsittelyssä) näkyy roskat.

Olen tyytyväinen. Käyttänyt sekä valokuviin että videolla EOS R -rungon kanssa. Omien testauksien ja kokeilujen jälkeen myös parilla keikalla. Toimii oikein hyvin myös muussa kuin makrokuvauksessa, mihin sen kuitenkin hankin... Nyttemmin on hommannut tähän settii lisäksi myös Raynox 250-lähilinssin, jolla saa esimerkiksi lemmikin kuvaan ruudun täydeltä.

Have been pondering for a while getting a macro lens, so glad I did and loving its features

Super sharp, superb photo quality. (It reminds with me of Hasselblad...well, almost!)

This is by far the best image quality and I do Not mean "Value for money" which is misleading!

Best for sharpness. I bought a couple of years ago and just LOVE IT.

There is no substitute. You just have to have it.

I have been using this lens as an upgrade of my older 100mm, and what an upgrade. I am a dentist specialized in cosmetic dentistry, I use the lens along with the macrolite or with studio strobes. The details of the ceramics and enamels are just amazing. Sometimes i add the extension tube for higher magnification ratios.

The best you can get.

I used to have the 60mm efs macro lens (which is great for the money) but this blew me out the water!!!

Huipputerävä kuvanlaatu ja melko kevyt objektiivi. Erittäin hauska ja monikäyttöinen. Makrokuvailun lisäksi tällä saa vaikuttavan näköistä jälkeä mistä tahansa suuremmastakin kohteesta kun terävyyttä ja valovoimaa (f/2.8) riittää mukavasti. Tähän asti olen pääasiassa kuvannut käsivaralta. Makrokuvailuun etenkin huonommassa valossa rengassalama on melkein pakollinen lisävaruste, koska linssi itse peittää kohteesta valon läheltä kuvattaessa. Olisi hyvä, jos objektiivin rakenteessa olisi edes hieman metallia, nyt se on kokonaan muovinen. Vaikuttaa kuitenkin laadukkaalta materiaalilta.

Ostin tämän objektiivin vähän aikaa sitten. Olen kuvannut sillä pakkasessa sekä kuumassa ja kosteassa ilmanalassa. Objektiivi on toiminut hyvin ja kuvanlaatu on ollut erinomaista. Olen ollut ostokseeni erittäin tyytyväinen.

An excellent introduction to L series lenses, which opened my eyes to the fascinating world of macro photography. Used either with a full or cropped sensor camera, it is my regular companion when rambling country lanes. it's image stabilisation enables me to take detailed and sharp close ups of insects, flower heads, seed pods etc. I have learnt that the background and what's out of focus is really important, and this is where the f/2.8 aperture is indispensable.

Great images with this lens. Slightly heavy which had been my reservation pre-purchase but this is quickly forgotten when using. Love the clarity , option of dof and the ability to photograph further afield than just macro; and stability. No regrets buying this lens which has become a firm favorite.

Have had this lens for around 5 months now and I really am getting the best out of it. Even hand held you can come up with fantastic results thanks to the image stabilisation.
