Easy to set up, I think remote is pointless as not easy to use, but i guess LG want you to use the app instead which is very easy to use. The bass seem low compared to other units I have had even when full on in the settings for non movies. For movies works fine.

The setup is a breeze the soundbar comes very neatly packed. It just requires you to plug in the power cable to each speaker and you're ready to go. A HDMI cable is also included to connect to your TV.

Once setup I was initially a bit underwhelmed by the sound if I'm entirely honest. But I then thought I might need to adjust some of the settings so I went and downloaded the mobile app. The mobile app picked up the soundbar very easily and once connected to the WiFi I updated the soundbar and ran the AI calibration. The calibration pinged sounds from each speakers to the microphone on my phone and adjusted the speakers accordingly. This made a huge difference like night and day and everything sounded more in depth.

I am fortunate enough to pair this with my LG OLED which means I got to test the Wow Orchestra using the speakers of the TV. This works flawlessly with the soundbar and TV working together to produce punchy and clear sound. The atmos speakers work well to add height to the sounds and the subwoofer adds very deep bass. One of my favourite movies from the cinema was Dune and rewatching it with this soundbar felt like a cinema experience again. The soundbar enveloped me in the action and made everything come to life.

I did have some issues connecting to Spotify initially but I did eventually get connected. The soundbar and surrounding speakers worked in harmony to play whatever I played on it beautifully.

I have been impressed by everything I have thrown at the soundbar after the initial setup issues. The only downside I would say is that the remote seems to feel quite cheap and also I don't recall using it as the app seemed more useful than trying to navigate settings using the remote.

For instance, even if you can’t take advantage of WOWCAST, the rear speakers and subwoofer still pair wirelessly to the soundbar. So, outside of the power cables, the only wire you’ll see is the HDMI or optical cable connecting the soundbar to the TV.

The LG S95TR is also plenty room-filling without WOW Orchestra. Not only do you get full surround sound, but five upward firing speakers that work with both Dolby Atmos and DTS. You can also listen to stereo content as if it’s in surround sound.

But the LG S95TR soundbar reproduced everything in a way that I could have the volume just above audible and still make out every sound.

My favorite feature, is LG’s Advanced AI Room Calibration. It’s a quick process as well, that is available through the app.

The build quality is excellent, and the array of features it offers is impressive. The addition of upfiring speakers for Dolby Atmos in both the main sound bar, and the rear speakers, creates an expansive and immersive audio experience that truly enhances the enjoyment of movies and music. These speakers make it feel like the sound is coming from all around you.

One of the standout features of the LG S95TR is its AI calibration, which intelligently adjusts the sound settings to suit the room's acoustics. This ensures that you always get the best possible sound, no matter where you place the sound bar or how your room is configured. The result is a consistently high-quality audio experience that adapts to your environment. Additionally, the WOW Orchestra feature, when paired with an LG OLED screen, uses the tv as an additional speaker that really ends up filling the room, especially making those 'hard-to-hear' dialogue moments in a TV show crisp and legible. No longer resorting to the subtitles to understand the plot!

However, there are a few minor drawbacks. Some features, such as Night Mode (which reduces low frequencies to not annoy everyone in the house at night!), can only be activated via the accompanying app, which can be slightly inconvenient if you prefer to control everything with the remote. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used soundbars over the last 10 years and this is by far the best sounding one I have owned. My previous soundbar had issues where when switched on it would disconnect and had to be switched off to reconnect not ideal and very annoying. This soundbar sounds better and hasn't disconnected once, however I have been unable to get the wow orchestra set up and connect each time switched on (just reverts back to just soundbar).

The bass is unreal and very lifelike and when used with the rear speakers creates a perfect channel for dobly atmos related music, films or games.

Decided to give my home theater system a streamlined update after my old plasma TV died (replaced with a LG 75 inch LG QNED86 4K Smart TV 2024) and wanted a neat setup. As an audiophile, I feel soundbars have come a long way and this one sounds almost as good. I have a large open concept living room/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings, and I can confidently say, the LG S95TR can fill the entire space with immersive sound. Overall, the LG S95TR sounds great for movies, TV, and games and has a very clear and crisp sound. The dedicated, powerful center channel definitely helps this soundbar have excellent speech and dialogue performance when watching content, while the 3-way rear surrounds provide a strong (wireless and easily placed) true surround sound immersion. It’s simply a very clean and good sounding solution for anyone looking for full surround immersion in an easy to setup system with seamless connectivity, and overall impressive for its size sound footprint. A definite must buy for a one size fits all solution. Simply fantastic!

I recently upgrade the family living room TV to a 65 inch, which had really quite acceptable sound for a "no soundbar" setup.

Having the opportunity to test out the LG flagship model was of great interest to me since I already own a full Atmos setup in another room of my house, so I already knew what good should sound like.

The LG was a piece of cake to set up. You basically plug everything in and turn it on. A handy app for your smartphone lets you set everything up, as well as calibrate each speaker by using the microphone on your phone from your seating position.

Initially I placed each speaker on a spare surface and it filled the room with sound immediately but it wasn't quite to my liking yet. I went online and bought some speaker stands for just under 40 pounds which let me put the rear surround speakers exactly where they should be for the best sound. Then I went back on the phone app and re-calibrated to get the levels perfect. BIG DIFFERENCE! The soundbar turns itself off and on when the TV is in use and everything just sounds so much meatier and clearer now. The room is filled with warm engaging sound making the kids YouTube videos sound great. If I switch to my streaming applications on the TV you get the full and proper Atmos soundtracks working all the speakers as they are designed to, and I can honestly say they are just as good as the system in my other room that cost nearly twice the price. Sports also sound great with the sound modes filling the room with the stadium sounds and crowds, with the main soundbar taking centre stage for the action.

With soundbars like these, you really cannot go back once you've got them set up properly and get to experience them. Regular TV speakers as good as they are just feel lifeless when compared to something on this level, and LG have a winner on their hands with this one.

Getting these positioned properly on stands makes all the difference here. Pretty good before I got the stands but afterwards it's a really big step up. Recommended!

It's full of features (Apple Airplay, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), it sounds phenomenal with the 9.1.5 speaker channels and when used in conjunction with an LG TV it exceeds what the competition can offer.

I've connected this to my LG G4 and it uses the WOW Orchestra (this uses the TV’s built-in speakers with the soundbar for even a broader sound and clear speech), WOW Interface (let's you use one remote to control everything), and WOWCAST (let's you connect the sound over Wi-Fi, even losslessly).

The subwoofer and rear speakers connect wirelessly, nearly no setup required and sound amazing! (the subwoofer really does have some oomph!).

The LG S95TR has been great for any TV shows, films or music I've thrown at it. It supports lots of audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The S95TR really is the best of the best and you won't regret this purchase!
