I purchased this product as headphones and ear plugs did not offer the freedom of having nothing in or on my ears. I then found they were brilliant if your mobility caused problems if you had mobility issues getting the headphones or ear plugs in both ears. This product sits on your shoulders, which is easier to place and the sound quality is excellent. I would recommend these to anyone who has mobility issues in using headphones but wants a bluetooth option. Pricey but worth it.

Honestly I'm slightly disappointed with the sound quality for the price. It's all a tad flat even after playing with the settings.

I can't set them to my ears via the app , it just doesn't work and I thought I'd be able to still have sound coming from the TV or soundbar as well as the neck band but that might be because my Sony bravia XR is 4-5yrs old . On the plus side the connection was easy and quite comfortable to wear

So far So good I find this is so different to head phones

Both my wife and I only ever use these whilst watching tv shows and movies. Dialogue projected from these units are extremely clear and not a single word is missed like it can be via the sound from my 75" Bravia 7 or my Citation multibeam 1100 soundbar. Highs and mids are really good, but the bass is far too lightweight with no depth whatsoever. Going into the equaliser settings and having bass boost enabled or tinkering with the settings manually, this makes very little difference to the depth at all.

I tried having these working alongside either the tv's sound or the soundbar's to get the extra depth I was craving, but this proved to be extremely disappointing with a very noticeable echo due to them being out of sync with both the aforementioned. Again, going into the A/V settings of the Bravia 7 as well as other settings on the Soundbar to try to perfectly match the sound, this proved to be a complete failure, making no difference. Battery life is superb for such an item and it can go pretty loud if you do wish. These literally is whisper quiet if you are more than about 4 feet from the unit, whilst great for listening in later hours without disturbing others.

Build quality is good, but I do not like that these move around very easily due to the smooth surface that sits on your shoulders, meaning you are constantly having to readjust their positioning. This in my opinion is really annoying and could have been solved by creating a grippier textured backing instead of it being an overly smooth surface. Overall, these are decent, but with a few improvements like more bass depth, better integration with other sound systems,held their position on your shoulders better, these would be fantastic. Many are looking for a complete personal surround system without all the wiring etc, but this is not quite there yet. I do hope Sony take heed and address these things in any future iterations of this technology. As they are for now, I cannot recommend them.

I found them better than expect so happy I bought them

The HT-AN7 neck speakers were a gift at Christmas after trying a set out in a local high street department store. My preference TV is watching action movies and was really impressed with the amount of realism this neck speakers gives you. Unfortunately in my opinion to gain maximum usage of sound you ideally need a Sony TV with it's dedicated sound features and the e-arc hdmi connection although this item connects via Bluetooth my impression is the more modern your TV is the better sound reproduction is given.

My TV is a 8 yr old Samsung qled with standard arc connection and I am therefore now looking to upgrade to a Sony bravia tv to give a boost to my soundbar and neck speakers.

In closing I would definitely rate the HT-AN7 for personal listening and it's immersive sound experience.

My wife brought the Sony neck band speakers for Christmas, absolutely brilliant, I now use them most of the time, surround sound quality is excellent. Easy to set up, and great because you can have the TV on low volume, and your neck band adjusted separately for yourself, much better than ear plugs or headphones because your still able to communicate with others in the room, very light, you forget you have them on. Pity they don't come in a nice protective case.

I got this item for free as part of a bundle, I wasn't sure what I was going get but I love it! I cannot watch a Dolby Atmos movie/sports broadcast without this on my neck.

Very good sound does work well with my new Bravia 9 TV

I purchased this at the same time as getting a new Sony OLED. My wife said she could still hear it upstairs when i was wearing it, but on closer study, i found that you are able to tailor it to your ears and that improved things, but it is still not as 'personal' as it is marketed to be. However it is a lot more comfortable than headphones and the audio quality is very good. One issue i have is that i need padding underneath them (such as my hoodie) to get really good audio, otherwise i find them too quiet and if i turn them up too much it wakes my wife ? Minor issue and i still love them

Early days still but these are great, the ability to zone a space so one person is hearing the TV and a second working without distractions. Also the sound quality is everything I expect from Sony. Only disappointment is no case with them to keep them safe, and noone else seems to make one. Perhaps too new?

Excellent product as described easy to use and set up

Works brilliantly if you have difficulty in hearing .

Just used for a few hours but I know this will be my go to personal speaker for music and tv good sound and comfort without disturbing others

Does not disturb anyone else close by and I can’t distracted by others.

I cannot recommend this product as there is excessive latency when using Bluetooth to watch TV. I find it unbelievable that a product costing as much as this does not have low enough latency. Why was apt-X technology not used.

The Bravia Theatre U is an innovative product. With great usability in a variety of settings. The sound quality is pretty good. But, not mind blowing. And I found that it tends to drop down on the same side after a wee bit of use. I can only assume that the arms of the product are not quite balanced. Whitch can be quite frustrating. I have also found that the battery life under use seems a bit shorter than quoted. But overall this is a very useful addition to an ever growing way of listening to audio.

The sound quality is superb and it connects to everything real easily.
