However, after a week, the red thread at the top of the sleeve opening started to come undone. All that I can do is wait for it to fall off.

Also, for my commute to office, I think I prefer the zipper, the extra zipper compartment, and the handle of the regular ThinkPad sleeve, so I kept that one, and returned the Professional version.

When scrolling up/down using the touchpad it is not very effective. The cursor freezes, skips, moves to top or bottom of the screen.

The sleeve itself uses a magnetic closure, so much easier and more elegant than a zipper or velcro, etc. I would like to see some active closure for the outer pouch, but it's pretty snug, I don't imagine any paperwork you have there will be going anywhere.
