So glad I opted for the RF24-105 f2.8L IS USM Z over the 24-70 f2.8L
I’ve used the EF 24-70 f2.8L for some time and finally took the plunge on the RF24-105 f2.8L recently. I deliberated for a long time over the lighter RF24-70 f2.8L vs the larger and heavier 24-105, but decided the extra range was important ti me. I had the chance to use it in anger a few days ago when I photographed a gig and was blown away by the clarity of the lens and the additional reach that the 105mm end gave me over the previous 70mm. I was able to get wide angle and zoomed in 3/4 shots of individual performers without changing lenses - even getting good close shots of the drummer - where I might have had to change to the 70-200 lens before. I love this lens!!
