The printer drops out regularly and has to be re connected via the Network Connection Repair Tool which does not always work.

The specs seem good, but the usability and printing quolity is bad. And the wireless connectiity pretty much is unusable. I just wish I can run the cartridges somehow empty and then move on to something solid. And this is the slowest printer I have used.

Purchased approximately 6 months ago. I recall arrived on time we'll packaged. Still using the supplied injet cartridges . I have printed out reasonable as mount of printers mixtures of black and white, colour. Printed out single sided A4, double sided A4, booklet mode, greeting cards in colour, some PowerPoints . Very happy with printer speed , colour and readability of fonts on normal paper.

Scanner function works well. Using auto document feeder and also direct on scanner glass plate.

Simple to set up and connect to desktop via USB in minutes

Drivers auto updated or using very helpful software as supplied super printer software interface.

Printer has a simple smal screen all good easy to use

Tarkoitus oli hankkia mahdollisimman samankaltainen kotikäyttöön, mutta tulikin ostettua toimistotasoinen faxillinen. Se, ettei faxia saa suljettua pois, vaan joutuu sammuttaessaan aina ottamaan kantaa faxin tilanteeseen, on ärsyttävää. Siihen tosin varmaan tottuu...

Purchased just over a month ago, for home use, space limited at present, however the unit is small, light and fits where my older refurbished printer (thank you printer) of 20+ years was sited at present.

The Brother MFCJ4340DW is efficient has useful software that is easy to utilise for both black&white and colour prints. Set up out of the box is simple. Take clear photos of the serial numbers and ID first before set up and final location of the printer.

Cable management (power and USB) is easy and works surprisingly well, I utilised the USB connection (used my existing USB cable) .Print speeds compared to older previous printer are fast acceptable and a delight, both mono and colour print(s) quality and legibility are fine, even at small font size, and very acceptable for our use and meets expectation.

Colour prints on normal A4 80gsm really look good (form me!) used one specific colour photo paper and the result was good. Also used thicker photo greeting paper and using publisher the results were fine.I experience one paper jam (A4 caught) possibly how i placed the paper and tweaked print options while running some tests. However the paper jam and was easily cleared removed) Thus far no issues or problems

Scanning (TWAIN drivers) worked well , shame no duplex, perhaps i have yet to discover how duplex scanning works. For duplex scans i manually return paper to scan second side at present.Scans acceptable quality and speed and saved to PDF.. However duplex printing is available and works well, with multiple modes , booklet single sided etc. Prints in both mono and colour benefit from range of eco, normal,high or best final quality prints.

Still discovering the various parameters and print scan options, fax is available and i have yet to use this option.

Printer cartridges that included in the box still going strong, software utilities provide usage stats as a guide. Software, driver updates can be automated and also a lot of useful information on the Brother.co.uk site for this printer model.

This printer model fits a specific budget and usage requirements, the unit build is reasonable and with care should last long time. The extended catch fro prints is wee bit light but again for the price range and with care works.

This printer offers a range of print options the normal naturally works well, i have used the eco mode for some PowerPoints and other page configurations and results are more than acceptable.

There is a small on screen management (no touch screen at this price point) work for me.

MFC-J4340DW - bought this printer about 5 months ago and really pleased with it. Easy enough to programme it to Wi-Fi and quick and economical.

Over the years I have owned several printers of differing makes and this is by far the best. It is fast and has a host of very useful features one of which is to have a single sheet feed of a different paper size to that in the paper tray. I also find that the ink lasts a very long time which makes this printer very economical to use.

My husband retired so we had to replace his work printer. This is similar and works well. We no longer print loads (unless the grandchildren are around), so I imagine the ink cartridges will last a very long time. Both our sons don't have printers, so they also regularly drop in to print stuff off or scan. Quality of printing is good. Easy to set up. Had to reconnect the wifi a few times, but now it seems settled.

worst printer i ever bought. I've been trying for hours to replace the blue ink with another genuine one and it doesn't detect it!!! I regret throwing my money away on this piece of junk.

After getting fed up with the HP Printer problems that kept occurring over a number of machines, I decided to go for a different make entirely. I did s lot of research before I decided on Brother, and I certainly don't regret my choice! Attractive, extremely fast and easy to use, it outperforms previous printers I've had by far. The quality of the print and photographs are spot on, and the scan speed much faster than my previous machine. Capable for small office use, it has been a dream to use this for my home and voluntary work. Thank you Brother, spot on!

I was searching for a copy machine that gave me great quality and quick speed, this does the job. I have not learned everything about this model, but I am so happy with the way you load the paper, it turns off by itself, buttons to do the desired job are great.

Have purchased the printer which is very good the only downside at the moment is the cost of ink replacement at the moment hopefully this will come down in the future

I have had this printer a week and find it is easy to use once setup.

The information I want to download and print is good quality and photographs print really crisp and clear. Very pleased with it

I bought it as a back-up when the office ran into a sudden serious problem printing with the giant machine at work. It has now replaced the office printer as it does everything and more than I need. It is now my home office essential. A giant in a small box doing the job of a thousand plus printer. My children have abandoned their printer to be sharing with me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in the process of setting up my own business so needed a reliable printer that was upto the challenge. I find myself dreading setting up a new printer but this was so simple to do and installing the app on my android device was easy.

I've got my printer set up in my shop and it runs faultlessly on the WiFi, the speed of printing is excellent and the colour quality is sharp. I print a lot of shipping labels and for this the speed is exceptional. My kids like to scan in their drawings and print extra copies for grandparents and this printer is brilliant for this as the replication is close to perfect, this also allows me to save a copy to my phone so I'm not left with the guilt of not having kept every drawing from their childhood.

Overall I'm really happy and would consider another of the same model for home use. A well designed product with great functions and excellent print quality.

The instructions were easy to follow, and the installation process was also very easy. The printer connected to my Internet, laptop and phone quickly. The installation of the ink cartridges were very easy aswell. The test page printed quick and was of a fantastic quality. My first print project with this printer was 28 pages and it printed in record time. This printer in my opinion is absolutely fantastic, it is small enough for home or office, I have it in my home office, I would highly recommend this printer for everyone for all your printing needs. I have printed items for work, school work for my son and also other items, I would not go for any other make of printer now. The printer itself is very reasonable price wise and the ink cartridges are a reasonable price aswell. Over all this printer is spot on, go buy one, you won't regret it x

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this printer now a few weeks and in the middle of moving home and what can I can i say about it...

After unpacking it getting excited like a naughty school kid it took all of 5 minutes to set it up and hook up to my wifi.

From there I had it scanning, printing and printing photo's too. The quality of the photo's actually blew me away the contrast and the brightness of the photo was on par.

Double sided printing has now saved me time and money on paper and the ink usage has been great.

Email the printer from anywhere your work and its there waiting for you when you get back to it and apple print works great too.

My only draw back will be the power cable mine sticks out of the left side which i think really could have gone under carriage and then would fit better at my desk, but on the whole I love it.

Not many parts to put together, a printer, power cable and 4 colour cartridges. Extra wires are required if using as a fax as well as a printer which were didn’t need.

First impressions once set up it looked nice, great colour (matches our wallpaper haha) there is a paper tray to hold your appear for printing, the tray isn’t the easiest to pull out and when doing so on a regular basis I would be concerned how long the tray would last before it potentially broke as our printer is sat on a wall bracket not a table so little support underneath.

There is a manual feed tray if you wanted to feed the odd sheet of paper like we do as we print mainly on A4 paper but then need to print on a page of labels but unfortunately the manual feed tray is located at the back of the printer which for us means we cannot use it as the printer is up against the wall as we have limited space available.

Print quality is good we set it to print on Eco print so hopefully the printer cartridges will last a little longer. We did notice that the colour cartridges when we looking at the ink capacity on the PC didn’t state 1500 colour and 3000 black as they should, it showed as approx 500 pages less which is a little strange but will keep an eye on that.
