Sony A7Cr -järjestelmäkamera, runko, hopea

I'm a professional photographer working and living on the island of Corfu. I use the A7rv for this and needed something lighter, but still with great image quality, for those times when I am out walking, doing personal street or travel photography. I love what the A7rv sensor gives me in terms of image quality and the A7cr matches that but is so easy to carry round. I have no interest in video and have never had a problem using just one memory card slot. The viewfinder isn't great but it is usable with the addition of a third party eye cup. The extension grip is also useful if I use larger lenses but I have bought a leather half case with a smaller neck strap for added comfort. This is my perfect "everyday carry" with the Sony 50mm f2.5 G or the Sony/Zeiss 35mm f2.8. No-one notices or is bothered by me!

Excellent resolution and brilliant form factor/ergonomics. Also the autofocus is silent, quick and hardly misses a beat. Comes highly recommended.

The Sony cash-back offer with this camera was received with thanks.

Just what I needed to simplify my image capture going forward.

Image capture is always a mixture of recording size, optics quality and reach plus the operator’s eye for choice of image.

The Sony A7CR is a fantastic camera to use Its lovely and light and great to use It is a great touring camera for your holidays

This camera has far exceeded my expectations. Having previously owned at a7R3, I had been expecting an improvement, obviously, but this camera is so much than just an upgrade. I have always been looking a for a lightweight camera with top quality optics and performance. Finally, this is the camera that has made that desire come true. Yes, there are some minor issues that would make this less appealing to some photographers, but given that I need a high quality lightweight camera for travel, walking and mountaineering, this camera ticks all the boxes. And the autofocus is outstanding, enabling pin sharp focus on wildlife when encountered on my walks in the mountains, I can't wait to use in on my trip to the Alps this summer. My only gripe, is that I cannot get the monitor to display brightly when reviewing in bright sunshine, despite using that setting in the menu. And I just wish Sony would produce an eye cup for the EV, just like they do for the a6000s.

At first I was disappointed because I thought this was a 'small' camera. My RX1 II is a 'small' camera, the a7cR is almost as big as the old a7RIII.

But in the meantime I have really come to love my a7CR. Top quality photos with my 18mm lens, more than enough pixels, easy focusing and you get used to the new sony menu quickly. I like to take landscapes and cityscapes during the day and this camera is more than suitable for that. I haven't pulled in lower light situations yet, but with dxo and other noise tools that won't be a problem. I have small hand and sony cameras seem ideal to me. So I don't use the extra attachment to get more grip, but for those who have larger hands, it is a handy attachment that is included in the purchase of the R. With my RX1 II I needed an external viewfinder to easily see with my glasses, with this larger A7CR I can do it with the built-in viewer.

I hope Sony releases an RX1 III (with replaceable lenses would be ideal), but in the meantime I'm more than happy with my new A7CR

LOVELY PICTURES FROM THE CAMERA ,WELL MADE FEELS GOOD IN THE HAND

For many years I've been with Nikon, but I was attracted to the a7cr for its compactness, autofocus and quality build. I find a new menu system challenging but I will get there soon!

The Sony A7CR is small enough in size to put in your jacket pocket but packs a punch as big as most SLRs and full frame digital cameras. This means I can have it with me where ever I go and never having to regret not having a camera with me when that picture opportunity arrises. With a 61 MP sensor it surpasses all my other bulkier cameras in resolution and more than matches them in capability.
