Ports stop working
The laptop has been nothing but trouble. From the automatic features to ports not working, it’s been not good at all. I already used one warranty trip and now I’ll have to use another. The thing is, I have classes for the next seven weeks, so I can’t get it fixed until then
Good one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] perfect laptop, It's performance is top notch!!!!!
Saved me when mission critical
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would French kiss the team that built this laptop if I could. I thought I was slick buying an Alienware but this laptop saved me. I took a chance on a new product and Lenovo blew dell out of the water. Thank you. Thank you for still designing something useful.
More than sufficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thin, light, powerful, and plenty powerful for clinical engineering and data analytics applications. Minor complaint about the heat output, but I'm otherwise satisfied.
A solid laptop workstation for lab

ThinkPad P1 Gen 6
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My second laptop purchased through lenovo for personal use. My 7th th if I include work computers. Always great quality from lenovo and Im very happy. They continue to be my go to brand.
High-performance and durable Workstation laptop
The ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 is a powerful mobile workstation with high performance ideal for demanding professional tasks. However, its biggest drawback is poor battery longevity, requiring frequent charging under heavy workloads. This makes it better suited for stationary use rather than all-day mobility.
Love Thinkpads
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The keyboard is my favorite part of this laptop. The touch is incredible to write on.
It's lightweight. Beautiful display. This is my second ThinkPad and I'll never by another computer.
workstation powerhouse!

THINKPAD P1 Gen 6
Well, mine came with a screen flicker. Turned the resolution down and the wifi power down a notch. That solved it.
The keyboard is not as sensitive as I like and they moved the Fn key to the bottom left where the Ctrl key should be. But the PC runs great and quick. Like those Thundebolt USB's. Also like the power supply not at the AC plug.
Avoid the P16 with Intel AX211 adapter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The P16 was exceptional for 30 days except for its fatal flaw, the Intel AX211 wireless adapter. Avoid this adapter at all costs, it is soldered to the motherboard. Internet connectivity was kaput a mere 25 feet away from a router, packet loss began immediately and internet connectivity dropped. Opened a support ticket and they had me remove the driver and reinstall to no avail. They offered to swap the board. Returned for a refund.
Manufacturer request
The red mouse button in the middle of the keyboard will take a little to get used to. Otherwise great product.
Senior Engineer

Sleeper...

Better (enhanced) keyboard???
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part, I’m happy with this purchase. I wish it had an enhanced keyboard (with a separate numeric pad), but alas, no. External keypads are not hard to find so, I’m ok with that so far.
It's a ThinkPad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid Machine. I don't love the keyboard...it's a little mushy. But the rest of it is top notch!
Poor experience for me...
Unfortunately i had s very poor experience with the workstation I purchassed for my daughter, she is an atchitecture student. She had issues with her Adobe suit apps, Rhino 7 software, and general performance issues and errors whole doing simple things normally not requiring a workstation. Power charging issues were the last straw before we srnt it back. We'll stick with our normal HP purchases moving forward, the lowere Lenovo prices were apparently for a reason.
Lenovo P1 review for Work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the computer - fast, reliable and seems solidly built.
The fan just gets a bit loud at times and wish the battery lasted a bit longer - apart from that no major concerns so far.
Lenovo mobile workstation as desktop replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Thinkpad P1 as a replacement for a desktop computer. The Black Friday price for last year’s model was ok - reduced by @ 50%. The build quality is 100%. So far everything is working as expected. The touch screen renders a high quality image, the size is adequate & hooking to a thunderbolt docking station has been flawless. As with any migration to a new computer, transferring software from the old machine is time intensive. If further configuration of the machine had been possible I would have asked for a 4 TB drive. External drives obviate that as a “need”.
P1 High Quality, High Performing Laptop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This P1 upgrade replaces my nearly 6 year old X1 Extreme Gen 1. This is my 4th Thinkpad.
The screen height increased from 7.6" to 8.5". Although the difference in height is less than an inch, it makes a big difference. The overall feel is solid and rugged. There are a sufficient number of USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as an HDMI and 1/8" headphone/mic jack.
Literally the only knock I have is the keyboard. It's still very good, but the key travel has been reduced, just a tiny bit, but enough to notice the difference. It's still a solid, comfortable keypad worthy of a Thinkpad.
It's user upgradable I've already added a second M.2 drive. Easy to do, followed online instructions. Memory is also upgradable, should the need for that arise. Lenovo has plenty of documentation on the web site.
I also appreciate the Lenovo Vantage app for settings and updates, such as BIOS. Lenovo provides these for years after original purchase.
There are plenty of excellent YouTube reviews that go into the specs and features in depth. It's pointless to try to duplicate that information here. I will simply say I bought a P1 because I wanted a solid, comfortable, high performing laptop that will give years of dependable service. That's what Thinkpads have always been known for, and that's what puts them in a class by themselves.
In conclusion my P1 is definitely a Thinkpad through and through. I wouldn't even consider buying anything else.
If you're thinking about it-- go for it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my purchase; it's a beautiful laptop that is pretty light for its size. It runs Rhinoceros 8 seamlessly; its performance is top notch.
