I bought a few days ago but already happy. Still did not try.
Little camera with big features.
Had it for 2 weeks and love it. Downsized from a full DSLR, just wanted a much lighter set up. Could not be happier. Takes amazing pictures and the exposures are spot on and love the live view. Great features and customisations.
Great camera
I am very pleased with the recent camera purchase. Its exceptional image quality and intuitive user interface have made capturing memories a true delight. The thoughtful design ensures a comfortable handling experience during extended use. I have found it to be a reliable companion for all my photographic endeavors. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone seeking a superior imaging tool.
Great feature
I bought this a few weeks ago I like to much and I’m so happy
Suits my needs
After much deliberation I decided to exchange my A7IV .
The a7cii is very much the same, with very similar features and good image quality but with the most welcome reduction in size and weight.
It fits the bill for me and with a good lens satisfies all my needs, backed up by the first class A6700!
The two cameras suit me perfectly.
Perfect EDC
Very good camera. Light compact great quality. Top
Great camera with great features and layout
Great camera with great features and layout perfect photos All the time
Great full frame camera
I originally had an A74 but have changed to the A7CII because it has better functionality and is a lot smaller compared to my A74. Adding a small lens means it comes out with me more as it fits in a small bag or rucksack. I am really enjoying the camera.
Very compact and Versitile
Bought it as our anniversary gift. Wife is very happy
Lovely wee camera
I upgraded from the original a7c to the a7cii.
Much better handling and features than the original.
Excellent image quality and the high ISO noise seems to be handled well
Great camera for photos and video
great improvement with the colours, the only thing that I will add is a quick lock for dial and wheel (you need to hold for 5 secs fn and menu buttom)
Excellent compact
Bought this a month ago and tried it out last week on a few days break . Noticed the extra resolution when editing, pix came out really good.
Hyvä hybridikamera
Pienikokoinen full frame hybridikamera kattaa harrastelijan tarpeet
Just Restarted
I bought this in December, my first Sony camera, but have not used it in anger so far. I have twinned this with a 35mm prime for nostalgia - over 25 years ago, film compacts were mainly fixed focus! I am impressed with the sharpness of the pictures and the autofocus system. The build quality is superb, I cannot fault it yet. This is ideal to get back to photography, as I had grown tired of lugging around a large SLR, Early days, but hope to learn more as I get back in to photography.
Fabulous all rounder
Compact versatile go anywhere camera that fits my backpack
Great. Period
Small, compact and fast. That's from previous a6700 owner.
Night scene settings are impressive.
Great camera and a handy sized body
So much to see and tweak on the menus in this neat sized camera but you soon get your head around it. There's plenty of help available online if you're not sure what everything means. I'm really impressed by the quality of the images and with such a high pixel count they still look good when cropped. I think I'm going to really enjoy my photography even more using the Sony a7C II.
Fell back in love with Photography thanks to Sony
The camera is just perfect for what I need. I used to practice photography professionally and had a full frame dslr. After not continuing working as a photographer, the camera became a hustle to carry, as it was too large and heavy. I thought of buying a more compact crop sensor, but my knowledge didn’t allow me to comprise and spend more money on another camera. That was until I discovered the A7Cii from Sony. This camera has no comprise for me. It’s simply perfect. Long battery, excellent AI autofocus performance, incredible full frame sensor in a compact body. I’ve started once more to carry my camera with me very where, because with a small pancake it fits anywhere. Only thing I miss is the joystick to control focus area, but with the autofocus of Sony, it hasn’t been much missed, except for very few times. Two slot sd card? Sure, would be nice. But I don’t think a wedding photographer is buying this camera.
Amazing images and a very small ergonomic body
I sold my full frame DSLR because I got fed up carrying it around but I was disappointed by the quality of APS-C cameras so this looked like the perfect solution. And it was! The images are superb and the ergonomics perfect. With a small prime lens or the 28-60mm kit lens I can fit it into a jacket pocket for travelling or hiking, and if I need a bigger lens for wildlife etc I can have that too. The best of all worlds!
Compact Powerhouse
The Sony ILCE-7CM2 is an absolute game-changer in the world of compact full-frame cameras! As someone who values both performance and portability, this camera strikes the perfect balance. The sleek, lightweight design makes it incredibly convenient to carry around, whether for professional shoots or casual travel photography. Despite its compact size, it packs an impressive punch with its 33MP sensor and BIONZ XR processing engine, delivering stunning image quality and exceptional dynamic range.
One of the standout features for me is the advanced autofocus system. It locks onto subjects with remarkable precision, even in low light, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving action or subtle, candid moments. The addition of AI-driven subject recognition is a huge plus, elevating my confidence in getting the perfect shot every time.
Video capabilities are equally impressive, with 4K 60p recording that produces sharp, cinematic results. The in-body image stabilization ensures smooth footage, even when shooting handheld, which is a lifesaver for vloggers and filmmakers on the go. The camera’s versatility is further enhanced by its flip-out touchscreen, making it super intuitive for framing selfies, video content, or creative angles.
Battery life is solid, and the ability to recharge via USB-C is a modern touch I appreciate. Connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, make transferring photos and controlling the camera remotely seamless.
Overall, the Sony ILCE-7CM2 is a powerhouse in a compact form, perfect for anyone seeking professional-grade performance without the bulk. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or an enthusiastic content creator, this camera is worth every penny!
Amazing camera, but no charger or no usb-c cable
I did a lot of research to decide which camera I should go for from my old sony a6000. Finally shortlisted a7iv and a7cii.
Finally bought a7cii and I am using it almost twice a week for street photography, events and can say I am very happy with the quality and performance of this.
The only regret I have is- Sony have not given a charger nor even a usb-c cable along with the camera which is really annoying for such big investment.
I understand it's because of some environmental benefits n all, but I had to buy it separately from other online seller, so anyhow customers will have to buy to charge the camera, but loose the trust from Sony.
Good, but not perfect
Cannot make the touch screen work - no matter what steps I follow.
WHAT A CAMERA
This is undoubtedly the most beautiful Sony I've ever seen and used. I come from a canon background - I still own 4 Canon bodies (5x 5Dmk2, 5Dmk1, 7D) and a whole host of lenses. The great news is that with the 7Artisans FE to EF adapter the majority of my lenses work very well with photo AND video! So I'm actually pretty over the moon about that.
Not even a usb-c cable to charge the camera given
I recently bought Sony a7cii and found only one battery and strap inside the box along with the camera. There is no charging usb-c cable given by Sony. I am really disappointed with this. I have invested for such expensive camera and a GM lens all total more than 3800 GBP, and can the customer not expect an usb-c cable with it ?! I have to borrow one from my neighbour when unboxed it and found I have to charge the camera. Really annoying and not acceptable from such a reputed brand like Sony.
