Halusin yhdistetyn pesu–kuivauskoneen ja siinä mielessä tämä LG täyttää lupauksensa: kuivaustoiminto on oikeasti hyödyllinen ja kone on helppo käyttää. Valitettavasti melutaso ja ennen kaikkea äänen laatu tekevät arjesta huomattavasti epämukavampaa kuin odotin.

Pesun alkuvaiheessa rummussa oleva pyykki nousee ylös ja putoaa toistuvasti alas, mikä aiheuttaa jatkuvaa, tasaista jysähtelevää ääntä. Tömps, tömps, tömps. Se ei ole hetkellinen ilmiö vaan jatkuu pitkään ja siihen on vaikea tottua.

Lisäksi koneen moottori tuottaa:

• terävän, korkean sähköisen äänen, joka on erityisen ikävä läheltä kuunneltuna (muistuttaa tinnitusta)
• kovan matalataajuisen hurinan, joka kulkee seinien ja rakenteiden läpi ja kuuluu selvästi muualle asuntoon ja kuulokkeiden läpi
  
  

Vaikka teknisesti desibelit eivät ole sinänsä korkeat, ääniprofiili on sellainen, että konetta ei voi olla huomaamatta. Tästä syystä markkinointiväite ”erittäin hiljainen” tuntuu harhaanjohtavalta.

Jos olet ääniherkkä tai asut pienessä asunnossa niin en voi suositella laitetta. Vaikka aikaisemman 15v vanhan Whirlpoolin linkous oli huomattavasti kovempi ääneltään (79db vs 71db) niin oli se yleisesti ottaen tasaisempi ja tätä miellyttävämpi kone kuunnella.

It is not belt driven but uses a motor similar to the type in my e-scooter. It is silent when it is agitating the clothes and spins up to top speed quietly.

It is simple to program but the touch sensitive buttons are not great and sometimes register double or not at all.

My only real criticism is that when it fills itself, the pressure is so great that the cold water pipe rattles violently.

It's great so far, first LG washer I have owned and no real complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it’s a really good washer dryer, easy to use and a powerful drying capability. The only downside is that full dry option takes 2 hours which is too much. Otherwise I’m quite happy with it specially as it cones with 10 years warranty.

Dispensing drawer has a bit of play and doesn't run smoothly - feels cheap. Good variety of wash cycles, relatively quiet in operation.

Cleaning Power: The washing results are "very good," and the spinning cycle is highly effective, leaving clothes much drier than my previous machine.

Cotton Turbo: This is easily the best setting on the machine—fast and efficient.

Bedding & Towels: For heavy-duty items like sheets, towels, and jeans, the drying performance is excellent.

The "Learning Curve"

Customization is Key: Unlike my old machine (where a Cotton cycle was a standard 2 hours), this one requires you to manually adjust settings for almost every load. Once you understand which buttons to press, it’s fine, but it isn't "plug and play."

AI Mode: I’ve found the AI mode can be frustrating. It often overrides my temperature preferences, and I personally prefer to keep my washes at or below 30°C to protect my clothes.

Cons & Warnings

The Heat Factor: This machine runs hot. Even on the "Low Heat" drying setting, the air feels very hot to the touch. I would be cautious with delicate items.

Eco Mode Issues: I tried the Eco mode, but the temperature was far too high for my liking, and the machine doesn't actually display the temperature during this cycle, which is a bit of a downside.

Washing & Drying Time: A full wash and dry cycle on low temp takes a little over 3 hours. It’s consistent, but you need to plan your day around it.

Final Verdict: A solid, high-performing machine if you are happy to manually tweak your settings. Great for towels and heavy cottons, but be careful with the drying heat levels!

Almost an identical match colour wise to our built in units and the combo of the great and the black door work really well. Functionality is easy to navigate and it takes a large capacity. The direct drive system makes it really quiet when in use even on the fast spin cycle, it’s practically silent when running through the was program. We paired it up with a matching tumble dryer and stacked them in a unit. So far I can’t complain. We’ve bought other LG products for the house and like those it’s well built, functional and does exactly what it says on the tin. Great extended warranty as well for the extra peace of mind. Well done LG.slightly more expensive than some other brands but definitely work the extra few quid. A big thumbs up overall

Theres loads of options but we seem to keep to the the same ones. All washes seem to be 59 minutes once it gets going but so far everything has come out clean so that's ok.

If you anywhere near fill it it says "uneven load" and will stop half way through washing! Even the instructions say to only 2 thirds fill it! Could get more washing in the old machine!

We did our research, and for the money we wanted to spend, we kept coming back to this appliance. Mainly because of the 11kg load capacity, the quietness of the machine, and the quick wash function. Now two weeks in, it is living up to expectations and looks quite stylish with the black door. So far, very delighted.
