The quality and the buttons are OK, but you won't be able to comfortably hold the mouse with your hand as the design makes it very hard to comfortably control it. This's nothing to do with the width and other dimensions but imagine holding a semicircle with the flat side on the mouse pad, your only choice is to drag the object over the pad, as you won't be able to lift it.
