I purchase this machine as part of the washer/dryer combo for a tower configuration. The door opens up in the opposite direction of the washing machine which may be problematic if you have a very tight space. The "AI" app obtains a recipe from whatever was last used in the washing machine which seems useful but the installation of the samsung smartthings app seems like a GDPR nightmare. It will not install unless you provide a date of birth (I know this can be faked but still...) It will not install unless location services is enabled on your mobile phone that you are installing the app onto, and it requires an email address for online registration. All things that should NOT be required for using a washing machine. The UI is so minimal that you feel forced to use the app so that you can actually take advantage of the dryer's features. Since this machine uses heat pump technology the water is extracted into a container at the top right of the machine and it requires manual removal and drainage after every few dryer cycles. The dryer has the option to be connected to a drainage pipe but for some reason this was not done by the verkkokaupa installation therefore I must manually drain it contstantly after every dryer cycle for fear it will overflow. I am not sure why the plumbing to automatically drain the water collected from drying was NOT connected to the drainage pipe along with the washing machine. Perhaps there should be an option to also purchase a T-joint plumbing piece so that the washing machine AND dryer can be connected to a single drainage pipe to remove the water. The musical chime that alerts you that the drying cycle is complete has to be the loudest and most annoyingly long tune I've ever heard. I looked at the app to see if I could disable or change the volume or tune but I was not able to easily find it and will have to take a deeper inspection. If you setup the washing machine before the dryer via the samsung smartthings app you will need to physically unplug the washing machine or else the wifi access point of the washing machine will interfere with connecting the dryer to the app.
