Great board, however no matter how I try, I cannot get the Hyper M2 Card to see both my SSd's. I have installed the crad in the G5 PCIe slot and entered BIOS and set Bifurcation to 8 +8. Still it only recognises one SSD! I do not want RAID just two single drives.

A* had some issues in the early days getting the most out of my DDR5 RAM but BIOS updates rectified this :)

Z790 Hero on sitä mitä odotin. Kone on nopea ja toimii hyvin.

Very good quality motherboard with beautiful aesthetics and lots of features. Only problem is the distance of the second PCIE which is covered by the GPU.

Really good motherboard, I upgraded from 1155 socket from 2012 so, upgrade well overdue and wanted the best of the best. Don't bother with the extreme version this will suffice for the next 15 years. Looks great, easy to setup everything one would need. Highly recommend it.

amazing board as to be expected from ROG. Easy to build with clear positioning.

This, coupled with a new processor, upgraded and expanded memory, and the use of an M.2 drive has made a significant difference to the perceived speed of my system. Everything worked first time which is nice for an occasional self-builder. It looks great and the RGB lighting adds to the visual impression of my rig.

Would have been 5 stars but unfortunately my SAS card which attaches to my Qnap JBOD unit is not recognised whichever PCIe slot I use. I have tried all combinations including bare board set up, but no dice. Have even re set bios etc. This problem is not exclusive to Asus as I tried another Z790 board first with exactly the same issues. I believe it is a chipset or Bios problem. Wiating for feedback from support on this issue. The board itself is great in every other aspect so far.

Good heavy weighted motherboard. Brilliant M2 pockets shielded by aluminium. Excellent heat dissipation.

Amazing build quality on motherboard starting from opening the box, through to weight of product and ease to build and operating perfectly from the start ... would recommend to everyone

Chipset gets insanely hot relative to the rest of the system. Need fans on full blast to keep temperature down. Probably because the chipset heat sink is completely hidden by the Asus 3080 GPU so no air can get to it.

For a premium motherboard it looks like function has taken a poor second place to form.
