Philips Viva Collection HD2650/90 -leivänpaahdin

Paahtoleivät vievät kielen mennessään ja ilman tätä tuotetta ne eivät maistuisi rapeilta.

Erittäin monipuolinen ja toimivat toiminnot. Varsinkin leivän keskitysmekanismi takaa tasaisen paadon. Myös lämmitys ominaisuus on hyvä.

Neuvon sinua, pidät kaikesta, helppo käsitellä, hyvä muotoilu, kaikki on säädettävissä.

Säätimessä ei ole selvää kohtaa että näkisi onko lämpötilan säädin esim kolmosella vai nelosella.

Päädyin Philips paahtimeen koska 2 edellistä (kallista) paahdinta rikkoutuivat melko pian takuuajan jälkeen. Meillä oli n. 20v vanha Philips paahdin tallessa joka toimi yhä, siksi päätimme nyt ottaa Philipsin tuoreemman mallin käyttöön ja toivomme että tämä kestää yli takuuajan.

                  Käytöstä, paahdin on helppo käyttää, paahdon säädön asetus on melko tarkka, kerran asetettuna useampi leipä tulee lähes samalla paahtotasolla. Kurkkaustoiminto on kätevä. Kokeiltu erilaisilla paahtoleipä ja muilla tuotteilla ja paahto on onnistunut hyvin.

This toaster has some really nice features and looks very classy, all of which are spoiled because it does not take a full size slice of bread.

Like a lot of toasters, this Philips one IS NOT DESIGNED TO TAKE A STANDARD SIZED SLICE OF BREAD!!

I don't care how sophisticated it looks with it's blue lights and polished surfaces, it's basic function is to toast a slice of bread. And therein lies the problem.

Try this for yourself.

Buy a loaf of Hovis thick sliced soft white bread (slice size is 13.5 cm high x 11.5 cm wide and thick enough for toast) and then try to fit it into the toaster. Problem. You can't fit it sideways as the aperture is not long enough to take the height of the bread and if you put it in upright the top sticks up above the heating element and does not get toasted.

This is a fundamental error in design. Make the aperture wider so that I can toast normal size bread without having to stop the toaster half way through and turn it over to toast the bit that sticks out the top.

If the aperture was a decent size I could also toast a slice of bread from a bloomer as well as a standard sized loaf.

And while I'm at it, how can you clean out the crumbs that collect between the chrome aperture and the black trim on top if you say I should not turn the toaster upside down and shake it?

You dont find these things out until after you have bought the toaster and by then it's too late not to buy it and go and choose a better design.
