Received my kitchen ice cream maker and after reading the instructions - put the ice cream bowl in the freezer overnight- I made my first ice cream batter using the vanilla ice cream recipe from kitchen aid. Following the instruction my mixer creamed the items together and then that went in the fridge overnight after cooling. The next day I slid the adapter and the paddle into the bowl. Setting the mixer on 4 for 20 minutes the batter turned into ice cream. I added some chopped Maltesers. Very easy to use and clean after. The ice cream is delicious. I have since made hibiscus and blackberry sorbet - I was worried about staining the bowl but I washed it straight away and it was fine. I put the bowl in a small white bin bag and keep it in the freezer ready for my next experiment - coconut rum ice cream. I am very pleased with the ice cream maker and as the bowl stays in the freezer the other two attachments just go with my other KitchenAid attachments. I would recommend, particularly as on offer at the moment.

Fab ice cream! Bought kitchen aid specifically to make ice cream for diabetic family member and friend who is dairy free. Love the coconut milk ice cream- very easy to use. Wish a recipe book came with it though as have to look up recipes online

The Kitchenaid ice cream maker is a great piece of kit and makes the most delicious ice cream you will ever taste.I find the most important thing in the whole process is to freeze the bowel for at least 24 hours and to have the mix of cream milk efc. well chilled. Churn on the lowest speed for 30mins and you should have great ice cream.

If you want to make ice cream yourself, this is a great tool for that! We chilled the bowl overnight in the freezer, then put our creamy mix into it (churning for 25 mins) while watching it crystalize and get thick. The texture was like a "soft serve" which you can enjoy right away, but I'd recommend putting the churned ice cream into the freezer for another 2-4hours.

As feedback for the brand, I think it would be helpful to include a disclaimer in the manual that a thin ice cream layer will stick to the sides and that it's simply a loss since I accidentally scratched our bowl trying to get all the ice cream out with a stainless steal spoon (as a silicon spatula wasn't working). After that scratch, we just cut our losses and washed the bowl with hot water which melted the remaining film away -- just felt kind of bad. I wonder if a scraping utensil could be provided with this? Just sharing our experience. Honestly love this though!

As you’d expect a quality product. Arrives well packaged. Very pleased to have finally got one. Treated myself to the ice cream attachment which is good.

I bought the pasta shape and the ice cream maker attachments for my Son for his birthday after buying him the mixer last year. He loves all of them.He has made fusili and ricotta and cinnamon ice cream already and both turned out beautifully.

I was surprisingly nervous about using this worrying about getting ingredients and quantities right but found it to be a dream. Really pleased I don't have to have another machine taking up space in the kitchen.

Impressive first attempt to make ICE cream. Followed the KitchenAid recipe to start with. Was done and dusted in 20 mins. Going to look at frozen yoghurt next.

Bought a new ice cream bowl to replace my broken one, and it's superb. I've made three batches of amazing ice creams to date: one recipe was from Nigella's Forever Summer book (classic vanilla) which was so good I had people arguing over the last scoop. And I then bought the Kitchen Aid ice cream book and made the strawberry ice cream (I also added cherries). Again, an outstanding result!

One other note, I've had my Kitchen Aid stand mixer for 17 years, and it has given consistently excellent service. When I bought it all those years ago, the ice cream bowl came free, but I never used it! When I took it out of its wrapping it had cracked - the result of several house moves, no doubt. Kitchen Aid has been an excellent investment for my kitchen, and having tried the ice cream bowl, I am now going to look at building my collection of attachments!

Great attachment - needs preparation but works beautifully. The mixture / batter has to be very cold to work. The attachment obviously needs to be in the freezer overnight. So a little of prep beforehand is needed.

I'm not really full of expectations. I thought it was a much more powerful machine. I don't like it.

Lovely quality product, so easy to use and looks great on my kitchen counter.

This is my second kitchenaid mixer in 20 years, and the only reason I’m purchasing a new one is because I gave my old one to my sister when I moved from Canada to the UK it was still working great. I prefer to bake in double batches because I have a large family so both times I opted for the larger lift bowl and recommend it to everyone, there aren’t as many colour options but it’s worth the sacrifice to get the larger bowl in my opinion.

It is a very versatile machine! I have spent my weekends enjoying making breads, cakes, other sweet goods and icecream with this machine so far.

Sure, there are machines that people say are "better" for each of these jobs individually, but i have several issues with that. I have got a small kitchen, so i wont own something that only does one job in there. This literally does it all. Secondly, I am not rich. Lastly, this machine is rather beautiful.

I am very happy with my purchase. I will be buying some attachments and look forward to doing so. It has adjustments that my kenwood does not (example mixer depth adjustment for if it misses the bottom) and a better set of attachments. Woild reccomend this kitchenaid.
