I have owned the Xperia 10 IV since February 2023 and have been very happy with it. Its battery can last two days. It is a nice handling phone and the operating system is reliable and intuitive. It is a nice size and the case is very durable. The photo capabilities are good.

Alkuun tuntui ihan hyvältä, vaikkakin vähän hitaammalta kuin oneplus 7, joka minulla oli aiemmin.

Nyt päivitysten jälkeen on alkanut vastaanotetut puhelut katkeamaan 5 sekunnin jälkeen, äänet katoamaan sovelluksista välillä, ja ylipäätään ihme jumittelua. Eniten kuitenkin syö tuo puheluiden katkeaminen todella nopeasti. Välillä tekee sitä että puhelu hiljenee 5-10 sekunnin ajaksi, ja sitten taas kuuluu. Ei voi verkkoa tai operaattoria syyttää.

Tämä on todella ärsyttävä ja raskas ominaisuus, varsinkin kun puhelin on työpuhelimena, ja asiakkaat soittavat ja luulevat että lyön vain luurit kun kuulen kuka sieltä soittaa.

Seuraavaksi puhelimeksi todennäköisesti valitsisin silti 10 V:n, koska puhelimen koko, vesitiiviys ja akun kesto on minulle tärkeät ominaisuudet. Saisivat nyt vain softan kuntoon, niin olisi vielä mukava käyttää.

Puhelin on ollut käytössä 1,5 vuotta. Aiempaan XZ2 compactiin verrattuna kaiuttimet ovat paljon huonommat, samoin sormenjälkitunnistin. Hyvä akun kesto kompensoi harmitusta, mutta reilu puoli vuotta sitten päivityksen yhteydessä akun kesto heikkeni niin, että nyt joutuu lataamaan päivittäin. Paikannus ei ole toiminut kuin muutaman ensimmäisen kuukauden ajan eli Maps ja muut karttasovellukset eivät toimi. Nyt on alkanut katkomaan myös puheluita. Neljättä Sonya tuskin enää tulee.

Bought about 3 weeks ago and I really like it works as it should brilliant

This is my second smart phone - the last being a Xperia L3. Likes: improved speed, easier access to features with more formatting choice and better explained instructions. Dislikes: unable to get a pdf version of the manual (so as facilitate understanding of how to operate effectively), far too many installed apps (70 counted) most of which most people would have no use for. This means hours of wasted time spent first understanding the purpose of each app then uninstalling it. Also, do not like the long winded method used to turn off the phone. What happened to making things simple!! A simple long press on a single button and hey presto,job done. Now I have to either juggle depressing 2 buttons at the same time or perform at least 3 actions simultaneously just to turn off my phone. Verdict - some things are best left alone. Next time might try a different brand, now that I am getting used to the smart phone tech.

Runsas viikko käyttöä takana ja olen ollut tyytyväinen. Akunkesto ollut jopa yllättävän hyvä. Puhelujen äänenlaatu hyvä. Kameran teleobjektiivi on tämän puhelimen erikoisuus ja on sen tasoinen kuin pitääkin. Hämäräkuvaus ei ole kovin hyvä kamerassa, valoisassa kuvat ovat erinomaisia. Kerran kamera ei tallentanut ottamaani kuvaa. Mielestäni puhelin on kallis ominaisuuksiinsa nähden. Ehkä pieni koko lisää hintaa. Kameran puutteista ja kovasta hinnasta lähtee yksi tähti.

Hankin tämän puhelimen alkuvuodesta ja olen ollut siihen erittäin tyytyväinen. Puhelin on juuri oikean kokoinen ja painoinen. Lataus riittää moneksi päiväksi ja koska sitä ei tarvitse tehdä joka päivä, saattaa se helposti unohtua. Puhelin toki ilmoittaa, koska olisi tarve saada virtaa mutta siihen hetkeen voi mennä 3-4 päivää. Kamera on myös hyvä ja erityisen hyvä heikommassa valossa kuvaamiseen.

Lightweight and Fast little phone, my Xperia 1 ii has a better camera but is heavier and bulkier, nice little phone.

An outstanding bit of kit, fantastic design, very easy to initiate, transfer data, very easy to use and customise.

the phone is advertised as compact but it too big to hold, also too long to fit in most female pockets. the fingerprint sensor only occasionally allows me to unlock my phone with it. the camera is of a good quality but the software is less intuitive, though this may be because i am used to the google pixel and how good those phones are at adapting the settings automatically.

I find the phone is slow to load many sites even with full signal, particuarly attachments.

often askes for apps to be refreshed but then tell you the app cant be refreshed.

phone cannot do two things at once, while listening to audiobooks/music any notifications coming in or adverts auto playing sound will cause the audio to crash and not restart or the sound quality becomes tinny, something which happened intermittently anyway for now obvious reason.

didnt get off to a great start tbh as the software demanded an update constantly despite having had one and already being in the version it asked for. then when i did a software repair, on restart the phone is now unable to bring up the keybord so ive had to go back to my old phone while this is resolved.

I bought it because I needed to replace my Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact 4.6 Inch.

I did not find any other 4.6 Inch with Android 10 and above that's why this. I do not like long phones. I am also yet to get used to some of the new/ updated apps & settings. As usual, they are supposed to be easier and more friendly but they are anything but.

First of, I was looking for a very specific type of mobile phone, compact and long lasting. The first of which is extremely difficult to find nowadays.

And this phone delivers on both count.

The phone is not the fastest but is zippy enough.

The software is ok, very close to stock android and since I use another launcher not really something that bothers me.

A few things that bothers me with the phone are:

The camera is very slow

There is no NFC tile in the toggle menu

The network connection is very poor, I rarely go above 3 bars

Otherwise, I really enjoy the phone, I wish I could afford the 5 but it is massively overpriced.

Simple and very good. There is absolutely no parasitic software included, which is very nice !

Kohta vuoden ollut käytössä, tai no käyttäähän tätä ei oikein voi ku yhteydet tällä niin olemattomat, mutta mukana kulkenut. Kaupungissa toimii.

Akun kesto hyvä. Siitä tuo ainoa tähti. Mitään muuta hyvää sanottavaa ei ole tästä puhelimesta.

Kolme edellistä puhelinta olleet Honoreita, ja halusin ostaa jotakin muuta kuin kiinalaista tällä kertaa. Kyllä kaduttaa. Tässä on hyvänä puolena se, että kapea malli sopii naisellekin käteen.

Kamera on aivan susi. Tarkentaa mihin haluaa, usein tuloksena sumeita kuvia, tai niin, että taustalla jokin asia on tarkka. Aiempien puhelinten kanssa ei ole ollut koskaan tällaista ongelmaa, eli ei ole käyttäjästä kiinni. Kamera on myös ARMOTTOMAN hidas: jumittaa, miettii, pohtii, veivaa, tarkentaa, tarkentaa ohi, tarkentaa uudelleen ja taas ohi. Asia mistä piti saada nopea kuva on ollut ja mennyt, tai saatu kuva on sumea mössö. Värit vaisut, pimeä- ja hämäräkuvaus todella heikko. Aivan tuurista kiinni saako tällä kuvaa aikaiseksi ollenkaan, ja jos saa, niin minkä laatuinen se on. Valokuvaaminen puhelimella on yksi tärkeimpiä ominaisuuksia puhelimessa itselle, joten tämä ostos on todella masentava.

Lisäksi puhelin sekoilee vakituisesti, esim. ei anna laittaa taskulamppua, koska "kamera on käytössä", silloin kun kamera ei todellakaan ole käytössä, kaikki muut äpit on suljettu, kamera force stopattu, mutta ei, "Kamera on käytössä" edelleen.

Myös puhelimen näytön toiminta häiriintyi panssarilasin käytöstä (esim. ylävalikon/ilmoitusten pyyhkäisy yläreunasta alas ei toimi, tai toimii hädin tuskin), taas ongelma jota en ole koskaan aiemmin kohdannut puhelimen kanssa.

Myös Sonyn valmistama kuori puhelimelle oli murenevaa, heikkoa muovia, ja meni palasiksi alta aika yksikön.

I have always had iphone or Samsung but thought I would have a change, Glad I did best phone by far, simple to use, very clear communication with no crackling or interference of any kind and the battery life is absoloutly awesome last forever. and a bonus of it not being as expensive as the others, Well done Sony

The only issue is that GPS or apps using the gps are having problems - gps lost connection message, no solution yet found

Minulla on myös Xperia 10 II, jossa on Sonyn älykäs flipcase. Näyttö avautuu kannen aukaisulla. Olen pettynyt koska Xperia 10 IV näyttöä ei saa auki kuin käynnistys tai ääni painikkeesta. Tämä on selvää taantumista.

Pidän Sonyn puhelimista kohtuullisen koon ja painon takia. Ilmoitus valo oikeassa kulmassa on tervetullut koska näytön avaus on niin alkeellinen.

Had the phone now for a few weeks and feel as though it's been mine for years.as it's as reliable and efficient as previous Sony phones. Nothing too fancy. Great camera. Great sounds. Brilliant battery life. One star off for annoying off procedure though.

I decided to upgrade from my Sony Xperia XZ as the battery life was dropping after many years of use. The Xperia 10 IV is light with awesome battery life. I love that I can have a 1 Terabyte Micro SD card AND fit ALL my music, podcasts and audio books with room left for photos and essential travel documents.

I always buy Sony mobiles, I enjoy their layout and uses of the camera. I never have any problems unless of course I drop them in water or on the floor (even then a couple have survived). I look forward to the new gadgets they bring in with every new model.
