The build quality of the GM II is simply outstanding – it feels solid yet surprisingly lightweight. The autofocus is lightning fast and the sharpness is impeccable, even wide open at f/2.8. It is the perfect workhorse for my studio, delivering professional results every time. Definitely worth the investment for anyone looking for top-tier glass.

Excellent, fantastically versatile lens been loving it so far!

I’ve been really happy with this, my first ever Sony lens. The Images are noticeably sharp, which I like because it’s easy enough to soften in post these days if that’s your vibe.

For such a wide aperture lens the weight is really good. Performance wise its top notch. Since purchasing I find its the primary lens I leave on my camera as it allows for great flexibility to quickly switch between different genres of photography.

Just replaced my 24-70 f2.8 G lens for the 24-70 f2.8 GM2 lens. It’s smaller and lighter than the previous one and the quality is at another level. Very happy with this upgrade.

I've had the lens for several weeks and am very happy with the design and performance. In recent years I have only used primes and so was apprehensive about the sharpness of the zoom lens. I'm happy to report that it has however surpassed my expectation in that regard.

Literally the best lens i've ever bought. Sharp as anything from 24-70. im a amateur and you get what you pay for. Sure Sigma may be cheaper but no comparison to this lens.

I wanted a ‘Maid of all Work’ for my documentaries. So when I bought an FX3, I had no hesitation in buying the FE 24-70mm G Master 2 lens since it covered the vast majority of my needs. Yes, it added to the cost, but the cash-back helped. But that alone wouldn’t have been enough. I took the simple-minded view that if this lens had been re-engineered, it could have only benefited from the trials undergone by its predecessor. It’s results are clear, even under the most difficult lighting conditions.
