Switching between the TwinDos system (liquid washing detergent) and normal washing powder requires a cleaning of the tubing. If you forget this, you can ruin your machine in a short time. The liquid detergent is clogging the tubing, and the tiny pumps are not able to blow these slime sausages out of the tubing. While you can continue to use the machine with washing powder, you risk that there is leaking and that the corrosive detergent eats a hole into the bottom dish (the one with the swimmer whose purpose it to detect leaking). If I would have known how much hassle the TwinDos system is (and how expensive to repair and how error prone), I would have bought a normal Miele without TwinDos. The TwinDos idea is good, but the execution is far from what you would expect from a top German engineering company.
