I’ve been using for approx a year. Absolutely love it. The dynamic range is fantastic in low light.

I’ve been using the Canon R5C for almost a year now, and I can confidently say it’s the perfect hybrid camera for both photographers and videographers. What sets this camera apart is its true dual-system functionality—offering dedicated photo and video firmware that can be seamlessly switched with just a flick of a switch. This feature is nothing short of brilliant. It makes capturing both high-quality photos and professional-grade video at events an absolute breeze, eliminating the stress of having to constantly tweak settings between modes.

The versatility and efficiency of the R5C have completely elevated my workflow. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one, and I sincerely hope Canon continues innovating in this direction. They’ve set a gold standard with this model, and I’m excited to see what’s next!

Stunning camera with excellent ergonomics!!! I can create my films about racing and use the the same camera for the awards. Great for independent filmmakers who are also photographers. In both cases you are open to achieve the maximum with R5C.

Yli vuoden aktiivisella käyttökokemuksella olen hyvin tyytyväinen tähän kameraan. Enimmäkseen olen ottanut valokuvia, mutta jonkin verran myös videoita. Ainoa huomio toistaiseksi, että kerää herkemmin pölykarvoja kennolle, kuin peililliset. Karvat ovat silti pois lähteneet kevyellä paineilmapuhalluksella.

Excellent camera. The video side takes a bit of getting used to. Despite all the reviews and videos online showing how to set up your camera for video, I would welcome a "How to use it" course. Like the Canon course on the EOS 5D MkIV. which I attended some years ago.

I have just completed a very challenging commercial job with a famous luxury brand. Big technical challenge. Two sets constructructed, one 4 times bigger than the other. Polished gold fragrance bottle, hazer machines, choreographers and dancers in an abstract set in London. I used both my R5 on a Ronin rig and my R5C on a tripod. Shooting 8K raw and also switching to stills mode occasionally for the product shops. Both cameras performed beautifully. I have Cajun stills from the moving and while shooting in Iris still is mode. Stills have my gone off to print and I'm waiting the final grade of the motion. Really excited with the new possibilities these new cameras will offer me moving forward. Only put 4 stars because I'm still having issues with getting Monitors antics and extended battery life to work on the R5C. Hopefully I will have a reply soon from Canon technical. I love the full frame aspect and I love the quality of the output.

Great for photography and video commercial or docu. 8K raw and 4k oversampled are simply beautiful.

If you plan to shoot something important my strong advice is to take second body with you. We went to another country and right before first shoot camera just did not turned on. There was no damage, no harsh conditions it just didn’t work. But, sometimes if you spend few minutes trying to turn it on and off it may be (may be not) will work for a few minutes. And then just shuts down again.

People always loved canon cameras because of their reliability but r5c in not in this category

When you use this r5c (same problem on old 20d and other...) with only one hand in back of camera the roll stering near for the floor border is not in better perfect position

Is not ergonomic here

And sony whithout any parameter have a better constrast
