Makes a nice coffee and I like the various adjustments that you can make but the descaling is horrendous. It works on the number of coffees you have made, not whether or not it actually needs a clean and it takes OVER TWO HOURS to do and it is far from automatice with constant water changes and button pressing.

                  It would have five stars if the descaling operation had any sort of sense to it.

Not worth the price tag, I would high recommend going a Sunbeam over this machine. You can’t steam milk and extract your coffee shots simultaneously. The temperature of the water isn’t hot enough either.

Had one for about a year before it broke down. I have always taken good care of it (celaning after every use etc.). When I went to return under warranty Delonghi informed us that they need to take a look at it to try and fix it first (which I was not too fussed about but still annoying). It has been 3 weeks and the customer portal still says the repair is in stage 1 'Received for assessment'. I am without any machine and have had no update in the 3 weeks...

Received my machine yesterday, intending to make my first coffee this morning. Out of the box, there was an airlock issue, so I made a cup of instant coffee while I purged the water system (some 25 presses of the hot water button!)...once that issue was resolved I made my first cup.

                  It was lovely. So simple to use and to enjoy a barista style coffee at home is amazing! I will spend the next week or so trying to perfect my brew, but this will be half of the pleasure. Out of the box settings were adequate for a nice smooth coffee even without 'perfecting' to my tastes!
                  I upgraded from my Delonghi Nespresso Latissima Pro, as I found that I did not have enough control over the strength no matter what settings I used, and it became very expensive using two pods per cup!
                  So far, after even just one cup I am ecstatic with this machine!

The machine is designed well, the removable water container and in-built tamper add convenience and the coffee temperature is consistently and adequately high. We are very pleased with its performance in the few weeks we have been living with it!.

Looks pretty but just doesn’t make a great coffee.

Bought the Delonghi la specialista Prestigo about a month ago and have taken it back twice since. Now swapped back to Breville. Most disappointing with issues in a new machine. Made a nice expression but milk frothed lacks some power even though supposed to be 19 bar..
