Awesome bit of kit - far exceeding my expectations.

A super camera works great with my 2times converter and my 70-200mm F4 macro lens

A really good camera. The new Menu System takes a bit of getting used to, but is better than the A7iii.

The updates to the camera software work well, especially the Focus Bracketting, however if it had some more techical guidance on step values it would be even better. I would have liked to have had sensor shift or pixel shift, perhaps this might come in a later software upgrade. Auto Focus better than my previous Sony cameras, fast and accurate when you get the right Focus Area set.

Bought this as my first proper camera for photo and video work for a media business. Very easy to produce high quality media, is very easy to transfer media to phone, I would just like more information/explanations in the menu system for various settings to be able to understand when might be best to use them.

I'm super happy with my new full-frame camera. I'm still learning how to use it properly because there are many new features. Video performance is excellent. The quality of my pictures with my 24-70mm are amazing. I'm still learning about the focus, but overall, I'm happy.

I have been using Sony cameras for 7 years. Second to none. Great quality

It was so easy to set up and learn, as someone who has never used a mirrorless or DSLR before. Have already taken amazing shots and video.Paired with a 24-70mm F2.8 lens, this is going to be a great and long journey of learning and discovery.

This is my 2nd A7iv body after using the 1st one for 3 years. I have found this is one of the best camera for my video work. I do many wedding and fashion videos and photography. Mt Photography gear is Canon R5C

Much more of an upgrade than i thought. Love the new menu system and touch screen, also the improved mega pixels. The grip being slightly bigger is bonus for my chunky fingers. Over all the camera is very easy to navigate, customising the buttons for personalisation of fav settings is also simple with plenty of options. The AI feature for humans, animals etc is a great feature.

Coming back to photography and already having used APS-c and Micro 4/3 I wanted to get a full frame mirrorless camera and the Sony A7iv ticked all the boxes. I compared the reviews of this with other similar cameras by other manufacturers via independent reviews and YouTube and the Sony A7iv seemed to get better reviews than others. So I took the plunge and I have to say that I’m VERY impressed so far - only10 days so far- with it. There are so any items in the menu that you can change but with the basic set up so far the images that I have taken have been incredibly detailed. It’s going to be a learning curve but I’m looking forward to all that it can offer.

So much to learn but the rewards are endless !! Such a good camera

I originally purchased a SONY A7IV a few years back and loved it - But then I made the mistake of selling it to get another camera which I soon found out was not as good as the A7IV - So I sold that camera and brought SONY A7IV again recently - Even some of the newer cameras out from competing brands cannot compete with SONY.

I purchased the camera to use for the movie I am filming, the A7IV has amazing dynamic range, it shoots amazing video and it can be used for cinematic movies -

The photographs this thing takes are also amazing - The quality of the shots are fantastic.

The autofocus on SONY cameras since the A7IV is also amazing, as it is on the A7IV which is still better at getting focus than some of the newer cameras from competing brands. I have used it to capture important footage and images from a number of events for my work and personal projects.

I highly recommend this awesome camera - It is a joy to use and a pleasure to see the images and footage from it.

This is an upgrade from my A7iii and downgrade from my A7r5. I chose the A7iv again as it is the perfect all-rounder for both good quality day to day images but also perfect for astro photography that I've started to get into.

I just wished Sony would do a software upgrade to add more features. like star trails etc etc

I am a birder; NOT a bird photographer...who wanted a camera/lens combo that would give me very good record shots in most situations. The lens used is the Sony 200-600mm.

I have been extremely impressed & pleased with the results so far.

The speed of processing & sharpness of image; even when lens & subject are moving...are impressive. The 33MP's allow for good retention of image when cropping.

I don't do any post-processing other than cropping or tweaking brightness...and I tend to set image quality at JPEG SuperFine...more info. recorded than older RAW images!

It gives me outstanding quality photos; even in some challenging low light conditions.

The three main Memory Settings allow me to pre-set for Still, Active & Birds in Flight.

The camera & lens together are not overly heavy or cumbersome...fine to hand-hold.

Camera has been fine to navigate...and plenty of info. available online to help.

Would certainly recommend the camera...great value & quality.

Bought this to upgrade an A7-iii. Improved autofocus, improved LCD screen (articulated), and a load of other stuff I'll get around to (eventually). Sensor still prone to attracting dust, despite the shutter closing when powered off (for lens change, etc). Not a cheap purchase, but definitely an improvement over the Mk iii.

Had this a month now and hugely impressed. The AF is amazing, bird eye AF works really well with less shots dumped through out of focus. Coupled with 200 600 G lens great for wildlife photography. Much cheaper than canon Nikon with greater lens choice for mirrorless.

Excellent little bonus for buying a brilliant product

Moved from Canon to sony in dec, camera was easy to get on with, it was giving me what i asked for, a good all rounder where i can focus on my shots rather than focus on is it in focus! sony have made things pretty easy, didn't beat around the bush, messing me about with cashback, it took a little while, but just gave me cash back, which is great! online support and videos and manuals and guides and stuff are easy to find, so far so good with sony, great experience this far and the auto focus and well focus in general is ahead of the game! :) pleased i invested, enjoying my photography :)

Upgraded to Sony from Fuji as I'd wanted a good full-frame camera again. The design and build quality is superb and the features are amazing. As for the AF - it's fantastic compared to my old camera! If there was a downside, it's the increase in weight again.

Not had chance to use the camera extensively but from the use I've given it so far I'm very impressed. I wanted a camera smaller and lighter than my previous DSLRs but which would give me the same or better quality images - I think I've found it in this Sony camera. It's very well featured and I'm looking forward to exploring its possibilities in the coming months. So far, I'm very pleased with my decision to switch to Sony.

with a 12,000 shutter count, and very light careful usage, I just get an error message - now its unusable and looking into repair options ! Before this happened, I loved this camera !
