This lens is delivering everytime i need to push it. Very good stabilisation and fast autofocus. Very sharp.

Bought this lens as I have moved up from a RX10IV. I like the fact that the zoom is internal so the length of the lens doesnt change when using, also the zoom range can be altered with 1/4 turn of the zoom ring.Focus is quick but I'm still playing with the focus areas to find the ones that suit me best.Lens is fairly heavy ( for me) in use for flying birds but overall I am very happy with the lens

Although this lense feels substantial and well made, it is very light for a telephoto and is comfortable to handle. The aperture ring adds to the ease of use of this lens. Most important is the stunning quality of photos.

Noticeably lighter than the mk1. Central sharpness excellent at all aperture. Corners generally sharp, however noticeably soft at 70mm and 200mm f2.8 f4 on my lens. Still overall sharper than the older lens but not by a lot.

Early days yet and not had much opportunity to give it a good try out, but I am very pleased with it so far and according to the reviews it is one of sony!s finest lenses, so I've no reason to think otherwise.

I had the G Master F4 and that was a great lens, this one is the GM2 f2.8 and it is in a class of its own. I’ve been using it in Norway in low light and the results are remarkable. Very happy with this lens.

Having had the Mark 1, this was an absoluterevelation fo weight, sharpness and focus abilities and is permanently attached to an A1 in my bag. I tmade the mark 1 look really average and still impresses 2 years and 190,000 images later. Absolutely reliable and dependable, it is a real no brainer optic especially wide open.

Fabulous lens; crisp sharp right across the picture, great in low light, lovely bokeh and all within a really light lens package. One of my best lens purchases.

I bought this lens 2 weeks ago and all I have to say is WOW! It is quality glass, Sony really did knock this one out the park as it is both light but all photos are coming out 👌🏻.

As a female photographer shooting women, I think it's a good lens. However, my post was moderated, and someone deemed my pictures inappropriate. Interestingly, Instagram had better moderation than Sony, as they did not find the images problematic. Nevertheless, this lens takes great pictures of women, whether showing less or more skin. I still keep my Canon 29-300 lens, which has been doing the job for the past 10 years.

P.S. My photos have been on the covers of big magazines, and I “apologize” to the Sony moderator for disagreeing that women in lingerie are inappropriate.

Bought to accompany the A1 to shoot League football. Version 1 was fine but not quite as good at acquiring focus and sticking to the subject. This is a tough ask when players in their shirts are running against a backdrop of supporters, many wearing similar colours. The GMv2 is amazing at doing this and worth the upgrade. Super sharp, fast focussing, great colour rendition and lighter… what’s not to like.

This has been attached to my A7RV since I got the lens. Picture is fantastic and auto focus is fast. Can point it into the sun and get no flare!

I bought this lens about 6 months ago to replace the mark 1 version.

First thing that hits you is how small and light it is vs the original version.

Second thing is just how sharp the lens is. Compared to any other lens I’ve used this is so crisp.

Hand holding it all day long is not an issue. Has all the usual buttons and options you expect on a GM lens.
