Arvosana 5/5The ASUS PRIME Z690M-PLUS D4 mATX motherboards is a sweet little board. It was time to upgrade my old ROG STRIX Z270G GAMING/i7-7700K system, and my shortlist of boards were the PRIME Z690M-PLUS D4 and the ROG STRIX Z690-G GAMING WIFI. With the current DDR5 availability and pricing, I settled on the PRIME Z690M-PLUS D4 with i7-12700K and Kingston FURY Renegade 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) 3600 MHz DDR4 CL16 RAM. Installed Windows 10 in no time on my new WD Black SN850 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD with zero issues except, as this is a new platform windows could not install the the required drivers for all the devices automatically, but as soon as you get to your desktop, the motherboard informs you that the Motherboard bios contains an ethernet driver which will install, allow you to go online and download all necessary drivers from the ASUS site. AT the moment I am running everything at stock speeds and the benchmarks and stress tests are impressive.
