Worst experience. It gave bad burns on the first use. I bought AI feature IPL to use it for my skin tone but AI is rubbish that burnt me so bad. Scared to use now.

I love it would recommend to anyone who has brown skin but doesn't work on white or orange hair so plz try it out I would 1000000% recommend very good has no hair up to 12 months

I knew too late that woman that take immunosuppressant can't use the IPL so I had to resell my machine to someone else. It's pretty annoying knowing that it is pretty expensive but you are aware of that only when you have access to the notice. I would have love to try it tho, so I'm crossing my fingers for the company to find a way for us to have access to it.

Absolutely amazing - I wish I had got it sooner! I’m fair skin and dark hair so it works especially well for me but I am genuinely so impressed with the outcome. I don’t know how long it will last for but my hair used to come through after shaving the next day so to be able to have weeks (so far) of smooth skin with zero pain and zero rashes is a massive win.

I had wanted this item for a very long time. Because of the high price, I mistakenly believed it would be effective. I am extremely disappointed in this product which my family bought for me as a Christmas present. The product takes ages to work. The laser projections are very hit and miss. I have seen no improvement in lack of hair growth. I regret that my family bought me this product.

Iv always had to shave my legs every 3/4 days and I usually shave bikini line and underarms every day

I received the Lumea and the initial impression and overall quality was impressive . The packaging was perfect and will be recycled also.

I downloaded the app and followed the easy instructions . My skin is fair and hair dark so the auto search setting recommended High power on all areas.

After using the product for 6 weeks now (3 cycles ) I already have stopped shaving as frequently as hardly any hair is coming back through . I will continue with the recommended cycle following the app. It’s handy as it pops up to remind you when each area is due

I staggered them so legs were one day( these do take uk a long time to go over ), arms another day , then bikini and underarms another.

It comes with different sized heads for each area of your body and a case to carry everything, making this a really portable and compact device.

The IPL device itself is amazing! It uses AI technology to analyse your skin and show you were you need to use the device. It also calculates the strength that you will need to work on your skin. The device comes with an app that talks you through each step and helps you to ensure you're using this correctly. You need to shave/wax/epilate the area before using the device, so it takes some prep and can be time consuming, but after using this consistently for a month I have noticed that i barely have any hair growth. I find that under my arms, hair grows very quickly, yet since using this device I have hardly any hair growth in this area and its very straightforward to use.

The device is also very quiet and can used while plugged into the socket, or wirelessly, which is a huge bonus for me as i use it at night before bed and want to ensure I wont waken my young son.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Lumea for a little over a month now, on my legs and underarms. I have used it twice in this time, once every 2 weeks, as indicated. The first time I used it, I noticed my leg hair was sparser and growing more slowly, though I didn't notice much difference with my armpits. The second time, the hair on my legs is much thinner, and definitely growing much more slowly. I noticed a difference in my armpits after the second time too, with hair much thinner and again more slow-growing. In order to monitor how effective the Lumea is, I wasn't shaving these areas in between Lumea usages. I have included photos a week after using Lumea once on my legs, and 8 days after using for the second time, on my legs and pits.

If you miss a spot when removing the hair, it does sting slightly and also smell, so make sure you are thorough in your hair removal each time before using this.

It says you don't need goggles, it is quite bright however so be cautious if you are sensitive to light flashes.

The app is useful, the AI feature that tells you which setting is right for you is useful, and I really like the reminders telling me it's time to use Lumea. I get these a day before treatment is due, to help me plan my day better. There are also lots of tips in the app on how to get the best from your Lumea which is handy.

This IPL machine is definitely worth it, the different heads that are adapted to each body part are really useful, especially the curved armpits attachment. This allows to to sit the machine perfectly flush to your body. I also really like the bag that comes with the machine, it's a handy way to keep everything together, though the machine has to fit in in just a certain way in order for it to zip up.

I'm really excited to continue using Lumea, I dont think it will be long before I am hair-free with this. I have used a much cheaper, unbranded IPL machine years ago, and I had to use this much more frequently compared to Lumea, and with much slower results. I will add that I am very pale, as you will see on the photos, and my hair is quite dark. I would definitely recommend the Philips Lumea IPL Hair Removal 9900 to anybody looking for quick, long-lasting, body hair removal.

I’m really happy with the the results I’m getting so far! I was hopeful because of other good reviews but I’m really shocked at how quickly it’s working, especially on my legs. 3 treatments in now and the hair growth is so little compared to before starting. So glad I finally bought it!

Had one before but sold it as I never kept up with it but even from that some of the hair on my legs hasn’t grown back. Bought another one recently, the corded one which is basically the same as my last one except that one could be used corded or wireless, basically the same thing. Keeping up with doing it every 2 weeks and just done my third session and my legs bikini and face have had amazing results! Armpits are getting there and my stomach has hardly any hair left. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely works just need to keep up with the schedule
