Very happy with 16 prime. Fab lens Prime 16 for R7

Ostin tämän laajakulma R 8:n ja vaikuttaa pätevältä. Kyllä yksi laajakulma pitää olla, jotta läheltä saa tarvittaessa paljon mahtumaan. Tämä ei ole L sarjan linssi, mutta hintaisekseen hyvä. Tarkennus on vähän hidas, mutta pärjää kyllä. Vääristymät yllättävän vähäiset. Suosittelen. Hinta laatusuhde kohdallaan.

I bought this lens in order to have a fairly extreme wide-angle lens that was light and not too heavy. But not a fish-eye. It fits the bag, or even the pocket, well and did not seem unduly expensive.

So far it has performed well. Good in buildings and the ambient light inside them. Has worked well outdoors too. Careful to keep one's fingers out of the field of view!

Had this lens a couple of months now, purchased with a view to attempting some night shots. After a hiccup using my older EF 75-300 where the shutter would not release no matter what I tried and was compounded by

Auto focus working when trying to take pictures of the moon. The manual focus guide is a great addition to the newer lens and the problem was simply that I was not using manual focus but trying auto focus in bulb mode. Sometimes it’s the most obvious things that are staring you in the face. Loving the full frame 26mp pictures and a big jump from a Samsung 20.3 mirrorless model. It’s everything I expected and more.

Work is awesome for wide angle and results in winter is just cool

I am really pleased with this distortionless (when corrected) 16mm wideangle lens - gives lots of creative options and is easier to use than the 15mm Canon fisheye that I used previously. Compact enough to use as an everyday lens, and there is sufficient resolution on the R8 camera to allow cropped parts of the wide image to be selected and used to make good prints. The f 2.8 means that it works well in most lighting conditions.

Three months ago, I bought a Canon RF with an RF 35mm f1.8 macro as a standard lens. For occasional telephoto shots, I have an EF 70-200 f2.8, but I don't usually carry this around with me; the RF 35 mm is a great general purpose lens. But there are times when it just isn't wide enough, which is where the RF 16mm comes in. It's lightweight and takes up very little space in the bottom of my camera bag. It produced little distortion (when used with the in-camera algorithms) and the photos come out clean and sharp.

Ostin tämän täydentämään R7:n kittiobjektiivia laajakulmapäässä. R7:ssä se vastaakin kuvakulmaltaan 25,6 mm laajakulmaa, joten on hyvin monikäyttöinen. Kooltaan se on sopivan kompakti ja laadukkaankin oloinen. Suodinkierre on varsin pienikokoinen, joka on hyvä asia suodattimien hinnan kannalta, mutta Canonin vastavalosuoja tähän malliin on turhan kallis. Kameraan virrat kytkettäessä objektiivi pitenee hieman.

Itse olen tyytyväinen ostokseen, kuvalaatu on hyvä kuten vastine rahalle.

I used it inside and outside for house photography or landscape photography. No issue at all, of course, as a 16mm you have a slight fish eye effect if you don't position yourself properly but if you do the quality is great, very well supported by the 2.8 aperture; I coupled it with my R6 MII where I can't use my 28-70 and it is a great complement - absolutely no regret.

Hyvä kuvanlaatu varsinkin kun ottaa hinnan huomioon. Hienoisena haittana on valmiiden kuvankorjausprofiilien puuttuminen, mutta tämä ei varsinaisesti ole linssin vika. Se nyt vaan on aika uusi tuote vielä. Eiköhän nekin sieltä vielä tulee ennen pitkää

The reviews I read proved to be accurate. Considering the low price the results so far have been very good. I have paired it with my EOS R5, and it makes a very lightweight set up for street photography. The in-camera lens correction works well with only small amounts of linear distortion near the frame edges. Overall I am very pleased with it.

A handy and effective compact lens that takes up very little space or weight in a packed camera bag and gives a nice wide angle for landscape shots etc.

Perhaps this lens might get overlooked because relative to some of its cousins it’s inexpensive. Can a lens at that price point be any good? I read quite a few reviews and without exception they all said that if you can live with photos being a bit soft in the corners it’s an excellent lens for the price. In camera software also helps enormously with distortion. No regrets where I’m concerned

I bought this lens to go a bit wider than my RF 24-105 L mm lens, it's a dinky little lens that delivers good quality for the price, the only downside is it loses a tiny bit of quality at the edges and there is a touch of chromatic aberration at the edges nothing that can't be addressed in Canon DPP.

This lens is super wide and a massive improvement on my old ef-s 10-18mm lens. It's not yet recognised by my photo editing software so manual lens correction is required during post production of raw images but I'm sure that will change in the future.

It is a good lens in general but lack of slow focusing

A simple lens like the RF 50mm f1.8 and a fun lens to use. I’ve used it at nighttime doing street photography on the Canon R6 and got some really decent results.

Lens i very versitiail. But give a bit to much distortion in the edges

A great wide angle lens at a very good price - great addition to the RF range. Disappointing that the Canon lens hood isn’t available to purchase with the lens
