I’ve owned the Sony TV for over 2 years. Overall it’s a great product. The only negative to date is that a few of the “Sony select” apps have stopped working. The apps affected are BBC iplayer, ITV extra, and other on demand apps.

I've had this product for 4 years. As an 82 year old, the 55" screen and picture located sound are superb and give me great viewing pleasure. Thank you Sony.

Tv keeps dropping internet connection, acting up for no reason. Bought a Samsung tv for a different room at the same time and that’s always been reliable. This tv is AWFUL!

Was given to us by in laws.

Originally had 45inch, very good picture but have always used a soundbar.

Picture on the 55inch was really good and again used soundbar. Hd channels are noticiably sharper, streaming works well and I'm able to install more apps if needed. Have not used an external hd yet so I don't know how well that works.

Gaming wise it's all good. Remote control was easy to pick up and use.

Only downside was the Queens funeral. We now have Sky News, Breaking News burnt on the bottom. It's faint but once in a while you do notice it. More blame to the missus than the TV.

Excellent picture quality as normal from SONY and the sound is pretty good.

Sony provides great features in this tv and I am always happy with Sony product.

ive had it for a year and a half ,but now im having a problem about manual tuneing to my local channel ,tyne tees.

After 2 years daily use, this TV is as good as new. The picture quality is superb. The sound is realistic, and doesn't require a sound bar. The voice activated remote controller works well. The "Smart" features, Wi-Fi links etc. all perform correctly. I found the TV easy to set up and I'm 80 yrs old!

I purchased this because it compared well to competitors in the shop. I wanted something that would be ok with my Sky Q box and Sonos sound bar.

Perfect picture with wonderful blacks. Recently I have been unable to access settings which I needed because the sound level was not appearing on the screen and different stations need different sound levels.

Android wouldn’t get any score from me because my other products are all Apple which makes life difficult at times. From time to time the set fails to turn off and reverts to some weird default that even the remote can’t access but this is rare. So, not perfect for me but if your other products are Google you should be fine but beware the settings menu might not always be available.

Brilliant picture with lots of colours which are vibrant and super blacks due to the way the TV works

I've had this TV for a year now, from the time I bought it, it's rebooted itself everytime I turn it on.

The software won't work with my sound bar (SONOS) it's either on disconnected, I want to be able to switch it in the menu on the TV to alternate between TV speaker and soundbar, but Not happenning.

On the basis of this TV I will likely never buy Sony TV ever again.

This tv has a great quality picture, but every time it updates I have problems with it loosing contact with the sky box.

Read the guarantee carefully, very little, almost nothing is covered. My 3.5 year sony oled tv has severe image retention despite doing nothing to contribute to it. Sony Technical support has advised that the tv needs replacing but not under warranty. A very expensive mistake thinking that Sony were a good company.

I've had this TV for a number of years now and found it lacking in terms of user experience. I went with it because it runs on Android/Google TV so I could take advantage of the smart home features that provides. That in general has worked well. However the responsiveness of the UI is terrible, it's very under-powered. Also I didn't realise when I bought it that I couldn't install the iPlayer app on it. Since I only watch streaming services these days this has been an annoyance as I have had to cast from my phone to watch things from iplayer.

in my opinion, Sony OLED screens have great quality. If I have to buy a new TV, I would choose a sony OlED again. However, this one has an extremely thin screen, which makes it too vulnerable in any sort of moving, touch, etc. Also, the software is not really problem free. I often need to "force quit" some of the apps, and re open them. But above all, it does not sync with iPhones. This is the biggest issue for me. Apart from these that I mentioned, the sony TVs are really good. I would not go for any other brand.

Do not buy this tv. I’m having non stop problems with it.

Colour and screen issues, can take minutes to turn on, turns off by itself. The new issue is the software doesn’t update.

TV often reboots for no reason which is very annoying and completely detracts from an otherwise excellent TV

Tv great, but the internet connectivity is clumsy bordering on poor. It’s not the connection I habe had that checked.

Updated apps take a long time to filter through Sony system.

Every picture seems a bit too dark The brightness setting is at max but just seems too dark. Picture setting keeps changing. for a tv of this quality , was expecting the picture quality to be way better

Bought this a few years ago, fantastic picture and sound quality, on issue is the software doesn't seem to be future proof, various aps not available ITVX for instance

I thought Sony TV was the best TV, how wrong was I considering the amount of money I spent on the set, Dolby vision is so washed out and iso unrealistic it’s a joke, I’m seriously considering returning the set and buying a Samsung DO NOT BUY
