Varovasti kerrostaloissa
Honyopyo35–44v Amazing base you can feel
Brings my system together, base you can feel. The must have for Dolby Atmos.
Basso
Nyt jytää. Myös naapurit nauttaivat. Myös naapuritalossa.
JRR55–64vSW5 & Quad speakers
Upgraded a 5.1 solution to the Sony Quad speakers and SW5. In my smallish lounge space it’s a fabulous solution, delivering great surround sound and I’m very happy with the purchase.
Only minor hassle is the Sony tv will lose Wi-Fi signal with the app, meaning you have to resynch them. No connectivity issues with the sound system though.
Great Subwoofer, elegant Sony design
I bought this subwoofer to enhance my TV sound experience particularly action movies etc. It is nicely designed and sturdy; it works great to deepen and enrich the base/ sound effects. Its look bit large size but think that’s necessary to produce such high quality sound.
Really good companion to Bravia TV
Purchased approx 2 months ago. Delighted with purchase. Significant enhancement to sound experience, in particular for movies. User friendly app made it simple to set up and calibrate.
Dissapointed
I took delivery of the SA-SW5 sub yesterday as I have had to wait a few weeks for new stock to arrive from where I purchased the theatre Quad system. After plugging it in and pressing the link button the system picked it up straight away. However on the app it shows that the sub position is on the right of the room when in fact it is on the left.
After a search I found the usual conflicting AI results saying it makes no odds as the sub is omnidirectional, which is fine if that` is the case. On the other hand depending on how the question is asked, it`s a known fact that it can happen, and the advise is to delete the app as thats the only way to clear the cache/data for the connect app, and then reinstall the app and perform the setup again. This I have done but it`s still the same. I have also done a factory reset on the control box and reinstalled to no avail. The thing which concerns me more as to whether there is an issue, is that whilst doing the room calibration, I get a sound signal coming from all four speakers but not the subwoofer, this which I`m more than aware of should produce either a deep rumbling sound or a fairly loud tone of some description. I have done a factory reset twice, moved the control box so there is nothing between that and the subwoofer. Playing movies that I know are good for bass sounds, all I am getting is irregular tinny rattle sounds coming from the sub. The light is on green to show it`s connected, and all speakers are running the latest firmware. I am waiting on a reply from Sony support to see if they can advise, if not then I will be sending it back from where it was purchased.
Sony - SA-SW5 300W
I bought this a month ago to complement the home theatre system i also bought along with Sonys flagship TV Bravia A-95L.soo glad i did the sound deep base is so lifelike it literally places you there weather gaming or watching a movie or just listening to the Dolby Atmos
this combination for me - near perfect, i haven't experienced anything else out there that can compete !! oh and with Sonys cashback offer makes this even better, thanks Sony !!
Vibrating!
Following the purchase of a Sony bravia8, I read that while it didn’t need a sub, you would get broader sound with one. I add this sub together the rear speakers. This thing rally can add bass. All together the home cinema surround sound is fantastic..
SW5
I’m running a Theatre Bar 9, RS5s and the SW5 sub is the perfect addition. Easy to setup, subtle smooth bass, not overwhelming and plenty of settings/adjustment via the Bravia app.
Bang for your boom
Placement with most subs is key. This however is powerful enough to be placed almost anywhere.
One of the best Sony Purchases I've ever made!
Bought this recently, the quality is amazing! it's like having a cinema in my bedroom.
An Absolute Game-Changer! Deep, Powerful Bass
I bought the SA-SW5 subwoofer to complement my Quad Theatre setup, and the difference it has made is incredible. The bass is not just loud; it's deep, precise, and highly cinematic. Movie explosions now rumble the room, and music tracks have a rich, powerful foundation they were missing before.
Setup was a breeze—the wireless connection was instant and flawless. It paired immediately with my main system. If you want true, room-filling sound that brings movies and music to life, this is the essential upgrade. Highly recommended!
Fantastic sound experience
The deep sound from this sub can be quite penetrating in a great way, can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Initial impressions very good
Initial impressions very good, paired it with theatre quad system
Wow
Seamless connectivity, amazing Base.
Your sound bar really needs this !
Sounds Great when set up
Great bit of kit when set up
But Sony needs to release more videos on how to set this bass box to the quad surround sound
Easier doing tv and surround sound and bass box all at 1s with the Bravia connect app
Quality sound
I have had this product for 10 days. It was bought along with the rear speakers SARS5 to connect to my HT-A7000 Sound bar which I have had for a while now. So far I am pleased with all products giving a very realistic theatre sound. I found the additional speakers very easy to connect to the soundbar. I bought direct from Sony online and was very pleased with the speed of service. From my experience to date I would recommend the sound system. Although not cheap it is worth paying for the quality if you can afford it.
Excellent
Wasn't sure if I was going to go for the smaller subwoofer due to the size of the room, but it handles very well when put through its paces and compliments the soundbar and rears perfectly even at lower levels
Good base compliments the subwoofer.
Sits near the sofa’s easy listening with the subwoofer at the front great bit of kit. The sound quality is better then I imagined when turned up a notch when the wife is not in.
Completes the Bar 9 setup
I bought the Bar 9 in the hope that I wouldn't need a separate sub woofer and for a few weeks it was 'fine'. After getting a good deal on the SW5, I can say that the addition definitely delivers that extra punch. Fairly straightforward setup too.
Deep, velvety bass
I teamed-up this sub-woofer with my Theatre 9 soundbar and, as good as the soundbar is, adding the SA-SW5 really does make a noticeable difference. The depth of the bass is controllable via the remote control or via the Bravia Connect app.
It's easy to set up and to pair with the soundbar and you can have it working within minutes of plugging it in.
Not overly impressed
Not overly impressed . Doesn’t overwhelm with sound ?
Either to loud or too soft ?
