The most stable music production system I've had. Smooth operation and power delivery. Just works and works extremely well for my purposes. Excellent motherboard.

This is a good B550 board. It drives 5900X CPU and RX 6800XT GPU effectively. CPU can be OC-ed without issues, as power stages seem decent. Thunderbolt 4 works well for a display. I use another TB4 port for Thunderbolt networking, which produces transfer speeds up to ~850 MB/s. Build quality is good, minimalistic and elegant. Two NVMe drives work as intended, one at 4.0 speed and another one at 3.0 speed.

The reason I gave it 3 stars is confusing information about advertised "HDMI 2.1" port. I wrote several emails to technical support about this port. It is advertised as "HDMI 2.1 (4K@60Hz)", which is meaningless for features specific to HDMI 2.1 specification. Customer support were never able to tell me which features does this port support from HDMI 2.1 spec. "4K60Hz" is not feature specific for HDMI 2.1. In one email, technical support said that the port supports HDMI 1.4 speeds (~10 Gbps), which is much lower than HDMI 2.1 speeds. I also asked them if this port outputs FRL signals from a level shifter chip that converts lower TMDS HDMI signal from CPU's iGPU to FRL HDMI 2.1 signal. I have never received a reply on this. ASUS knows that no AMD's APU is currently capable of outputting FRL signal natively. FRL is necessary for any HDMI port to be classified as 2.1. Unless this port has a level shifter chip on the motherboard, it is not HDMI 2.1 port, no matter which APU is there, and it should be removed from tech spec of the motherboard.

Really really disappointed in this mobo. It won’t go to windows 11 as it doesn’t match the secure boot option category. Upgraded bios to latest and set the right uefi setting and the system then hangs and won’t post . This is really poor.
