Lots of potential, but buggy & colour issueArvosana 3/5
This TV, if working correctly, would be amazing for this price. It's well designed, covers most image formats, has a generally great picture, plus excellent connectivity options, ... BUT ...
- The OS is not set up for Finland, so the MI functionality can't be used (also no 'Finland' option when setting up the TV).
- The OS is VERY slow.
- When using CEC/eARC with a HDMI input device (a new Apple TV, in my case), some features stop working i.e. I can't access menus, settings, etc via the remote.
- Panel is listed as 120hz, but 120 is not available to input devices, such as streaming devices, set-top boxes, games consoles etc.
- Not all picture settings are available on all image formats - very frustrating when you want to tweak a very specific thing in a certain format and it's not there. It seems that only the full range of settings and options are available when using the OS/native UI/apps to watch content.
- My biggest issue is that flesh tones are extremely yellow in colour. There is an option in the settings to tweak flesh tones and specific colours, but this is only possible for the native UI/apps, not an input device such as an Apple TV (which I watch all of my content through). Some users have got new devices from Xiaomi because of this widely-reported issue, while others state they've been told that it's a calibration 'feature'. Either way, it looks terrible, and can't really be improved if you're using anything but the native UI/apps.
