Quite possibly the worst TV purchase I have ever made. The remote control and the TV appear to be going through a marriage break-up and stopped speaking...press a button on the remote...the TV either responds 10 to 20 seconds later or doesn't respond at all. The TV randomly restarts. The TV randomly jumps to the Android Home page without anyone selecting the option. Try to switch back to Freeview, but the TV just sends you straight back into the Android page. You have switch the TV off and back on again to launch apps such as BBC iPlayer. The Smart TV app doesn't find the TV even though the TV is connected to the network. Software has been updated numerous times, nothing works. Thank you Philips, I suggest you stick to producing electric shavers rather than home entertainment.

Didn't even last 2 years. Was looked after, no dust, knocks, still has the plastic covering around the screen. Used for about 10-12 hours per week if that. Really disappointed in the TV and the quality of the build.

Only had it 15 months and it was done, Philips not interested.

I would avoid this TV is you can very slow to process even simple stuff like netflix and constanly crashing honestly never been so unimpressed by a tv unable to do the most simple of things

I would seriously avoid this model. It's incredibly unreceptive to the remote's commands no matter how many times you change the batteries, the visuals in the in-built apps constantly go out of sync with the audio, and I've found it impossible to connect a separate hifi to the TV - and not the only one with that issue.

Plenty of better models elsewhere at this price point

Ambilight is a great feature, but software is utterly useless. Apps continually crash, 5-10 second lag on any button push from the controller. If you feel this is good value, remember to add the cost of a Fire Stick at minimum as you’ll need it. I bought this as I trusted the Philips name, but the product feels worse than an ‘off-brand’ budget TV I could’ve bought in a supermarket for half the price. Shame on Philips for green lighting this product.

Puoli vuotta ja kuva räpsii, käynnistyminen kestää ikuisuuden, suoratoistot pätkii, sovellukset ei toimi kunnolla. Alkuun oli hyvä mutta jokaisen päivityksen jälkeen tilanne pahenee..

I really enjoy this TV. I have had it for about 8 months and really enjoy the ambi light features which is so cool. Picture quality is great. The only issue is the operating system is super laggy and needs updating every week or so which is annoying.I use an Apple TV so it’s not that much of an issue but it is annoying. For the price and features it is awesome.

Tv is langzaam en beeld is flets. Erg vervelend is dat er niet genoeg geheugen in zit om firmware upgrades te installeren. Ook is het vervelend dat je de TV app niet kan starten met een TV knop op de afstand bediening.

Tv:ssä ei ole mitään muuta hyvää kuin kuvanlaatu. Se ei ole ikinä löytänyt samassa wi-fi:ssä olevaa puhelintani näytönpeilaukseen. Ja sitten jatkuva freezaus kun koitat tehdä jotain niin koko tv menee aivan stoppiin mihinkä ei auta kuin virtajohdon repiminen irti seinästä. Aivan surkea sovellusvalikko kun et pääse lataamaan mitään järkeviä suoratoisto palveluita vaan joitain ihmeellisiä rakuten tv:tä ja jotain muita turkkilaisia lastensovelluksia. Käyttöjärjestelmän kun vaihtaisi täysin toiseen voisi tv olla parempi. Philipsiä ei tähän talouteen televisioksi enään ikinä tule.

This TV doesn't let you to sort channels, according to your preferences. You can hide a channel but you cannot sort it elsewhere. Unacceptable!

Only had this for a year and a half and the picture has gone. Spend money elsewhere.

I bought Philips TV 70PUS7906 - because i believed Philips stood for quality ..

The picture is nice and the ambilight is nice .. The boxing was good.

But the Software is super laggy, it doesn't matter how many times i restart the TV or do a power cycle as you recommend ..

It is soooo slow when pressing a menu button it takes like 5-10 sec to open a menu.

To change TV channels it takes almost 10 sec until i got any reaction. (i'm not on satellite).. So frustrating to zap thru the channels.

Sometimes the TV has forgotten the settings on my fav shows and apps in the home menu and its all just empty.

Yes i got the latest update and i tried to find unnecessary apps to close them.

Philips employees should be really embarrassed to sell this TV to customers.

I'm thinking of returning it, cuz i do not feel relaxed when using this TV to chill with a movie.

Olen ollut tähän hankintaan erittäin tyytyväinen. Suoritin perusteellisen vertailun eri näyttö paneelien ja taustan valaisu teknologian suhteen. Päädyin tähän 70” malliin 65” sijasta. Suurin pelkoni oli, että koon vuoksi tarkkuus kärsisi. Olin kuitenkin väärässä. Televisio on kiinnitetty seinälle noin 3 metrin katseluetäisyydelle. Kirkas LED taustavalaistus luo olohuoneeseen tunnelmallisen fiiliksen ja usein avaan television, vaikka en sitä katsoisikaan. Valaistuksen vuoksi.

Televisio on saanut tasaisesti ohjelmistopäivityksiä ja toiminnan suhteen ei ole ongelmia. Ei esimerkiksi pudota ikinä pois verkosta. Kaukosäädin rikkoutui vajaan vuoden jälkeen. Asiointi Philipsin teknisen tuen kanssa sujui kätevästi ja sieltä lähetettiin uusi kaukosäädin joka saapui 5 päivässä.

Kuten yleisesti taulutelevisioilla, vähintäänkin soundbar on pakollinen. Television sisäänrakennetut kaiuttimet eivät kovin pitkälle riitä. Itselläni on Klipschin 2.1 aktiivikaiutin setti jonka olen yhdistänyt televisioon Bluetoothin välityksellä. Tuon yhdistelmän kanssa ei ole ollut ongelmia vaan kaiuttimet käynnistyvät automaattisesti television käynnistyttyä.

Ehdottomasti hinta - laatu suhteeltaan 5/5 tuote.

Have all Philips ambilght TVs in the house now wouldn’t try anything else

Bought this TV after my LG stopped working just two years in, so I do hope the main board of this TV lasts longer. Love the amblight, but it’s quite fustrating that every time you want to adjust the options of either the amblight, picture or sound it takes you to the menu so I’m unable to adjust the settings whilst seeing them, so having to keep going back and forth making it harder to choose which one sits best. Comparing it to the LG, this is a little bit slower.

Vanhaan Philips 49PUS 6432/12, kun liitti Sony langattomat kuulokkeet TMR-RF810R telkarin 3 mm plugiin, saattoi helposti kuunella sitä joko kuulokkeiden tai kaiuttimien kautta. Nyt kun laittoi kuulokeliittimen kiinni, ei voinut kuunnella kuin joko kuulokkeilla, tai irrottamalla liittimen telkkarista. Vielä surkeampi tilanne oli, kun ostin Bluuttuutit. Sai ne toimiin, mutta sittenpä ei kuulunut kuin kuulokkesita. Niiden poiskytkeminen oli lähes kahdotonta. BuumeriLauteilla sain onneksi hyvän neuvon: "ota telkusta töpseli irti ja poista sen jälkeenn kuulokkeet". Se toimi. Palutin ne ja oli viimeiset bluutuutit. Asiasta olisi myymälässä voinut ostajalle ilmoittaa. Jos kuulokeliitäntä olisi toimiva, voisi joka kohtaan laittaa yhden tähden lisää, käyttömukavuuteen 2 lisätähteä.

We bought the 43" TV and have it sat on a display stand in the bay window. The Ambilight feature is stunning when watching a film at night with the curtains drawn. The picture is clear and crisp, the sound is great too. I have not used the smart features yet, but found set up was easy enough to follow the onscreen instructions, took about 20 mins. The picture is clear even when viewed from an angle sat at the side of the tv. All in all love the TV.
