Pleasant sound, low noise and plenty of headroom, so this mic is highly unlikely to clip the sound. Good for recording, but too quiet for Zoom or any other communication apps. This mic needs to be boosted by about 10 dB to be on par with the average mic level in a Zoom call. You would need third party utilities to boost this mic level in Windows or Android. In Chrome OS you can boost this mic level without extra software, so on Chromebook you are fine using this mic for communication straight out of the box. In summary, this is an excellent mic for recording, but the lack of boost option in Windows and Android drivers makes this mic not very suitable for communication.
