Kokemukset ja arvostelut

Ei voi kyllä kehua. Eivät toimi -20 asteen pakkasessa. "Yönäkö" heikkenee alemmassakin pakkasessa. Linssi jäätyy tai huurtuu kostean ilman jälkeen jolloin ei näe mitään. Pitäisi olla 4k kuvaa mutta 4 metrin päästä zoomattuna et pysty tunnistamaan edes omia kasvoja. Ajattelin ostavani parasta ainakin hinnan suhteen mutta petyin suuresti. Suuri miinus myös maksullisista toiminnoista kuten liiketunnistus, manuaalinen tallennus ja tallennusten katsominen etänä. Suosittelisin ennemmin Anker eufyCam 3.

[Tämä arvostelu kerättiin osana kampanjaa.] Pakkauksen mukana tuli kaikki tarvittava ja akutkin olivat valmiiksi puolillaan, joten asennushommat pystyi aloittamaan välittömästi. Asennus sinällään oli helppoa. Keskusyksikkö verkkopiuhalla kotiverkkoon, kamerapidikkeet ruuveilla kiinni ja tuotteiden rekisteröinti.

Kaikki muu sujui nopeasti ja vaivattomasti, mutta keskusyksikön paikkaa suhteessa kameroihin piti hetken hakea. Seinät ja muut esteet heikentävät signaalia merkittävästi ja vaikka etäisyyttä ei olisi edes 20 metriä, jäivät kamerat välillä toimimattomina katveeseen. Lopulta, kun oikeat sijainnit löytyivät, asennus oli valmis.

Järjestelmän käyttö on todella mutkatonta. Asetuksista voi säätää herkkyyksiä, valaistusta, havaittavia ”tunkeilijoita”, valvottavaa aluetta jne. Kaikki hallinta toimii kännykkäapilla ja oikeuksia voi jakaa muille joko katselun tai admin-käyttäjän osalta.

Parin viikon käytön perusteella voi todeta, että laite tekee sen minkä lupaa ja vieläpä hyvin laadukkaasti.

The range in relation to the base station can't be long, but on the other hand, I'm already starting to suspect that the camera's signal display doesn't tell the whole truth. However, when you find the right place for the base station, everything works flawlessly.

The downside here is the high price, similar not so "brands" can be found and work just as well. Likewise, I myself previously owned a Chinese manufacturer's system, so it was better that it was free of charge (e.g. network for recording, etc.) Here you can save to the cloud for a monthly fee, but if you don't want to pay, fortunately you can save to a memory card. It's a shame that there is no place for an external hard drive like cheaper brands. Of course, you can get started with a memory card.

The recognition worked works relatively well and does the job. Can recommend.

Tälläiset Arlon kamerat tuli hankittua omakotitalon videovalvontaa varten, kameroita tullut nyt noin vuoden verran käytettyä joten niistä arvostelun kirjoittaminen alkaa olla ajankohtaista. Käydään arvostelussa läpi plussat sekä miinukset.

Aloitetaan alkuunsa miinuksilla, joita kamerasta löytyy muutamia.

Miinukset

• Isoin miinus kameroissa on virransaanti talvella sillä kameroiden akkutekniikka on suunniteltu siten, että kamera ei lataudu jos ulkona on pakkasasteita. Kuitenkin kamera toimii akulla vaikka pakkasasteita olisikin reippaammin, mutta ei kuitenkaan kovin kauaa ilman virtaa; kameran ollessa kiinni latausjohdossa kamera saa suoraan virtansa verkkovirrasta eikä lataa akkua.
• Toinen miinus on resoluutio ja sen venyttäminen isolle alueelle. Vaikka kuvanlaatu on ihan hyvä niin kuitenkin pienien yksityiskohtien tarkastelu voi olla ajoittain vaikeaa venytetyn resoluution takia.
• Jos kamerat haluaa nauhoittamaan jatkuvaa videokuvaa CVR -ominaisuus on turhan kallis kaikille kameroille.
• Viimeisimpänä mutta ei vähäisimpänä on liikkeentunnistus. Liikkeentunnistus toimii useimmiten hyvin, mutta ajoittain nauhoitus alkaa liian myöhään.

Plussat

• Kameroiden akunkesto on hyvä ja usealla päivittäisellä liiketunnistuksella kesäaikaan akku kestää noin 1-2kk, vastaavasti rauhallisemmassa paikassa jossa ei liiketunnistuksia tule läheskään päivittäin akku kestää huomattavasti useamman kuukauden verran.
• Kameroiden akku kesti yllättävästi kovemmilla pakkasasteilla (-20c tai yli) jopa 2-4 viikkoa, mutta kamerat pysyivät päällä hyvin ilman akkua pelkällä verkkovirralla.
• Kameroiden avulla on tullut löydettyä kotipihasta ihan uutta elämää liikkeentunnistuksen avulla aina pienimmistä perhosista aina peuroihin ja hirviin.

Muuta

• Kamerat ovat osittain helpottaneet reissuille lähtemistä, mutta vastaavasti akkujen iänikuinen lataaminen kuitenkin vähän harmittaa – tosin valitsin järjestelmän asennuksen helppouden vuoksi sillä en halunnut lähteä rakentamaan PoE -virransyötöllä varustettua valvontaratkaisua.
• Ohjelmaa on helppo käyttää, mutta suosittelen rajaamaan tunnistusalueen pieneksi tai ottamaan ilmoitukset pois jos ilmoituksia tulee automaattisesta tunnistuksesta.

Laite käytännössä vaatii maksullisen pilvipalvelun tai se on tarkoitukseensa käyttökelvoton. Muuten tekninen laatu on hyvä ja monenlaista käyttöä varten aika hyvin suunniteltu.

Huomaa, että 4K resoluutio on venytetty 180° kuva-alalle ja on siksi yksityiskohtien tarkasteluun vähän heikko. Muuten kuvanlaatu on ok.

Liikkeentunnistuksesta nauhoituksen aloittaminen myöhästyy usein paljonkin, vaikka tunnistusalueet on kohdillaan ja herkkyys on säädetty maksimiin, ja nauhoitus jää myös usein kesken kohteen ollessa vielä kuvassa. Jatkuva striimaus ei myöskään onnistu, striimi menee poikki 30min. kohdalla.

Näistä syistä palautin tuotteen ja etsin jonkin paikallisesti nauhoittavan järjestelmän.

Packaging could be better cameras nearly fell out when trying to unbox them. it didn't feel premium.

Changing router password could be easier, plug and play via ethernet would be a plus, had to use the reset button and go through the whole setup process again.

Battery life could be better at 4K, outdoor camera battery died within a week at half charge on the highest settings.

It's subscription based after purchase, but you do receive a 90 day trial.

However overall I am very happy with these cameras. They were easy to install just needed a little tweaking on the settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Arlo Ultra 2 was easy to set up and follow the instructions to assemble and connect to the internet. However, the WiFi coverage wasn't all that great and there where moments where I couldn't connect.

I think the two camera set would suffice a small house but third is useful for a car port or street view.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought the arlo Ulta2 not that long ago and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. The arlo can work indoors and outdoors (even though it's meant to be outdoors) we got the big pack so had a few cameras which was really nice as we set up 1 outside and the rest inside- even using one as a "Cat Cam" which worked really well! The night vision of the ultra is nothing I have ever seen before and the quality (day and night) is extremely clear in 4k resolution and meant i could see both outside and inside clearly. Having the Ultra also means I can move it about without worrying about it "dropping out"(within reasonable distance to the home hub) without having to worry about cords needing to be plugged into a power source and the actual camera- it's wireless and so easy to move about! Even on its mount, this Wireless arlo is a game changer. Ofcourse you do still need to charge it every few days but even that's supercool as the cord that charges the ultra (on the arlo side) is magnetic and isn't fiddly like a normal charger.

With all the good there is unfortunately bad - so the ultra is a little delayed when watching it from your device. However,I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be this way - I would say the delay is about 9 or so seconds-so maybe not first choice for a "real time" camera, this however doesn't stop me from loving it. As well as being amazingly clear both day and night , did I mention it has a light you can turn on & off with ease from your phone?- and another impressive thing is on your phone you can make it sound an alarm ! (This doesn't seem as delayed as the vido) , and my gosh it's loud! And last it's sharing capabilities- this means not only can I access the Ultra but so can my other half or whom I mark to have access. These are but a few things the camera does, I won't spoil it all though and will leave out bits for you to find out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ultra 2 is the premium end of the Arlo range, and it certainly looks and feels like it. The design is very slick & clean with great features such as magnetic bases that hold the cameras on their stands, small pedestals that keep the same good looks and allow the cameras to be attached quickly and easily at multiple angles. The outdoors mount is also easy to fit and adjust with a screw adjusted swivel mount.

Set up is done via an app that, although easy enough to use, takes a lot of fiddling to get the cameras set up to do the right kind of monitoring at the right time. And if you don't persevere with it, you'll end up just getting spammed with notifications every time there's movement or sound.

But the main downside is that the really good features are locked behind a subscription paywall. Things such as package detection, enhanced person and vehicle detection and activity zones all require a subscription, and at this price, I feel like this should be included features with your purchase.

They give such a good image and you get notifications on your phone if either pet/human or vehicle is detected on the camera. Great zoom and very wide angle. You also hear the sound and can say something to the camera so someone outside can hear you. If you are not at home and see something suspicious you can turn an alarm on. It's really great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The arlo ultra 2 spotlight cameras arrived 2 days before we were due to go away for 4 days, so great timing.

My husband installed them which was a very simple process, especially as they are wireless.

We are absolutely amazed at how good quality these cameras are, the pictures and videos are so clear. Even the night vision which is also in colour is amazing.

He put one out front, one in the back and one in the attic. The reason he put on in the attic is because we thought we could hear a creature scuttling around, but could not see anything. So we will be using that camera somewhere else.

We are protecting a nest with baby birds in it out back and from the camera found the neighbours cat was trying every way it could to get them, so we have manage to put up another piece of would to stop the cat. The naughty cat was also sleeping on the engine on my husband car and had knocked a pipe off, so he has put on an extra clip to stop it doing this.

It has a very wide viewing field, we are really impressed to be able to almost see our whole road.

Cloud storage keeps everything secure for 30 days and you get 3 months free then will have to pay a small subscription.

It can identify parcels, people and animals. It also has a 2 way audio system which we regular use.

It has a built in spot light.

I cannot recommend this security system enough and if I could give it 10 stars I would.

I am raving about it to all my friends saying it is one of the best products we have ever had.

WOW... we were looking for a system for our small shop in St Ives and took a while but decided on this one as it’s a listed building so with this being wireless it means little or no drilling to install it. The 3 cameras work perfect for us as we have one above the main entrance, one about out display window and the other inside to keep the staff safe.

Already we have found this to be very effective as it’s a small shop and already some customers have been complaining that the whole family can’t enter all together. I can also observe the working of our shop from the comfort of my home. It’s early days but I’m super happy with this 4K system and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality security set up, The Arlo 2 also comes with 1, 2 or 3 camera set ups.

I can honestly say it's the best thing we ever did. The easy to install and use system meant that we were able to monitor our garden in full 4K HD on our mobile phones and through our television, connecting to the home WiFi. The peace of mind that security brought us was invaluable. The night vision, two-way audio and spotlight facilities of the system were particularly useful. We've tried several security camera set-ups over the years, but this is by far the most sophisticated, superior and valuable system on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already had an Arlo doorbell and were very impressed with the clarity of the videos and live camera action so we were keen to add on some extra cameras to improve the coverage around the whole house. The ultra 2 offered the perfect package and the cameras were super easy to install. I particularly love the spotlights as we live in the countryside and going into the garden at night with the dog had meant me using a torch.

What I also love about the Arlo system is how easy it is to control the notifications, if you don't want your phone to receive them you can easily mute them. It carries on recording and you can view them at a later time.

We also love the animal setting, this differentiates between humans and animals, which again you can mute and we have enjoyed watching all of the wildlife visitors to our garden.

Thankfully we haven't had any unwelcome visitors but it really does give you peace of mind while you're away from the house, and also while you are in it, to quickly look and see what's going on. We subscribed to the Arlo video library which keeps recordings for longer and it was excellent value and to us well worth it.

If you want discreet home security then the Arlo cameras are well worth investing in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cameras look really smart, setting up and pairing cameras went quick and easy, actually I have never seen cameras connecting so easy. The fact that no cables are required is great, saved me a lot of drilling and fitting. The quality of video met all my expectations. Now the most important bit - battery life. After I figured out the settings, I set the motion detection to record people and animals only which means no cars will trigger the camera, for people living by the main road this is brilliant. After those settings my camera was still showing 74% after one week which in my eyes is dream come true.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Arlo cameras are of high quality, I have been using 1080p to stream and the images during day and night are extremely clear so I know that their 4k ability will be second to none!

I did encounter a very minor issue of a 3 second lag however I am in a rural area with slightly weak Internet speeds so I expected this, it was not lagging enough to cause any disappointment.

I absolutely love that I was able to use the integrated spotlight what with all Street lights going off at midnight here, it really does light up a large area but you need to ensure it doesn't directly shine into a neighbours windows because it is bright.

It has 2 way audio noise cancelling and is weather resistant, The cameras were quick and easy to install and position and have 180 degree angle viewing allowing for a wider view.

I was able to customise my camera settings in the App which I also used for quick and easy set up.

We have many wild animals here so I was pleased to see I could disable animal detection function if required.

There is also 2 way talk and hear audio which is extremely clear.

Installation took around 30 minutes and was hassle free, I can sleep soundly knowing my home and vehicles have high quality security cameras.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The arlo system is a good value system and very easy to install with your main camera screw fixed and 2 other cameras that are attached by stong magnets.

You do need to make sure that you fully charge them as we did have a few problems with our side camera losing battery life everyday for a few days even though it isnt the main motion camera.

Since charging it for a full 24 hours this seems to have solved the problem.

Once installed you use it with the arlo app which is free for 3 months which is great!

The app I find is very responsive and gives you a clear picture of movement on all your cameras even whilst away from your property. The system has a two way mic so you can speak to the person on the camera which is very handy, the app also let's you know if the movement is a person,motion or an animal.

Overall a very impressive set up.

I’ve had them up for a week now and the picture quality is fantastic not only during the day but on a night too. Initially the set up is fairly simple with step by step guides to get started, it took no more than 15 minutes to completely set up with my internet and connect all cameras to the hub and my phone.

So once all devices were connected and notifications set I got a friend to come install them on the outside of the house, it was super easy to attach to and the magnet I am very impressed with as it gives for easy detaching and attaching when battery needs charged.

I like that on the app you can set your own area you want motion notifications for so anyone comes into the garden it pings straight away which is superb!

The video quality is second to none, very clear and the 2 way audio is also very clear!

It also detects if it’s a person or animal on the videos which I find relatively fascinating!

Overall the quality, the motion, the audio and the app are amazing and I can’t help but tell everyone my new love for security for my home with these!

Knowing my home is now very much secure with these devices puts me at ease! Battery seems to be holding up very well and the app notifies when needing charged!

The camera quality is brilliant you can pick up everything and the motion sensors work quickly and effectively. We tested the siren feature which is brilliant and very loud hopefully won't hear it go off again but would definitely scare off anyone who isn't meant to be there. The lights are a good feature too for added security and you can see pretty clearly at night too. Haven't had to charge them yet as the battery lasts up to 6 months, I don't think they will last that long as living on a corner house by a alley we get a lot of people walking past so the cameras get a lot of use. I love the 2 way call feature too as don't have to open the door now if not needed. This is a great system and although a little pricey the feeling of security is definitely worth it so far.

It records 180• and until the cameras were put up I could honestly say I wasn’t expecting to be able to see as much as I could. I can see the whole width and length of our garden and the front camera records all the way up the path and road. The audio element is great! My phone pings when someone is in the perimeter set and you are able to talk 2 ways too which helps with contactless deliveries etc. I love the fact you can set the video to focus on a specific area too just to get alerts. The actual cameras are lovely looking and do not stick out too much that they look silly on the house. I really would recommend this to anyone! I’m so pleased with them! The best part is you can add to this set up so I will be looking to get the door bell to sync with this. The app is so so easy to use as well! Very straight forward and easy to set up too!
