[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two Ultra 2 cameras to replace 2 essentiall cameras tha are now spares reason was I needed a more powerful camera, with better night vision also installed with the theft proof mounting which are outstanding as well , both cameras connected to my hub no problems and have been running fine, the battery life is great better than the old ones so all is great, have connected to both cameras from different parts of the country and both cameras have been very responsive.

Purchased the ultra 2 to replace my existing Arlo Pro, disappointed as the quality is not better than my original Arlo Pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I BOUGHT THIS AFTER DOING A LOT OF RESEARCH AND DID NOT THINK MUCH OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. WHILST THE SYSTEM WORKS, BATTERIES ARE USELESS AND DRAIN REGULARLY EVEN WITHOUT MUCH DETECTION.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great little compact cameras with a host of features for their size and recently detected a burglar climbing over the fence into our back garden while we were on holiday. With a prompt alert on the phone app we were able to call the police and alert our neighbours so the the attempted break in was foiled and the offender detained using the excellent quality video clip. Being wireless but with a good signal range they are really flexible and you can move them around to reconfigure your set up should it be necessary. Their small size but powerful performance means you can secrete them in different places for covert monitoring or keep them in plain sight to act as a visual deterrent as well. The only downside and the reason for the 4 stars is the rather flaky night vision performance which according to the amount of posts online is a common problem.

Apparently it's due to the reflected IR from adjacent surfaces which shuts down the night vision and all you get is a near black screen. There are fixes available but it's all a bit fiddly and I just wish they would work properly on a continual basis.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Arlo camera offered free 7-day video storage. Unlike this one, which requires a subscription if you want to see the video. The internal storage with a card is useless. The Ultra 2 is constantly offline/undetectable. My wifi signal to it is full bars when i can acess it. And for the amount I paid for it and a base station, this is unacceptable. I wasted my money; the older ones were far better.

Schlecht ist die Verzögerung bei der Anzeige, es dauert viel zu lange, bis das Bild aufgeschaltet ist. Schlecht ist generell die Verbindung bei nicht optimalem WLAN. Auch die Wahl der Modi ist ungenügend. Geofencing und Zeitplan müssten zusammen gewählt werden können. Die Steuerung der Aktivitätszonen ist ebenfalls unzuverlässig.

Bought a set of 3. One got moisture in and has stopped working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought three of these cameras for the exterior of my house to replace a cheaper and more well known brand of cameras that had poor picture quality and triggered with every small gust of wind. The Arlo Ultra 2 in comparison has superb picture quality (4K) and is smart enough not to trigger excessively. Well worth the upgrade!

The camera works well and is good quality. However, one disappointing aspect is that the app does not allow one to set times of operation for individual cameras. One can set the times, using "Arm Home", only for one group of cameras.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Arlo Ultra 2 has been great. The footage is clear, battery easily lasts three weeks with normal usage and triggers. A little less if heavy triggers (i.e. us using the garden, but if you disarm it wheb you're around the garden to avoid all the unnecessary triggers, the battery lasts well. Easily provides coverage of our property whilst on holiday (two and a half weeks recently).

The stored footage has been great at determining how long our cats had been out and about for, filtering the footage by animals, we could see when our exploring cat was out and about vs missing (for either putting up a FB post or not!)

I am completely sold on the Arlo home security. We bought additional Arlo cameras after the Ultra 2 to increase coverage at our property.

The level of software with Arlo is also at the top of its game. Giving me peace of mind that our home is free from attacks on the software and never compromised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased two Arlo Ultra 2 cameras two years ago, and now one of them already has a significantly reduced battery life. After just two weeks of use, it needs to be recharged again. In fact, both cameras were charged at the same time — the first one still has 90% battery remaining, while the second is already offline, showing 0%. Unfortunately, the warranty has just expired, which is quite disappointing.

The product itself it very appealing, but unfortunately, what stands out to me now it's this battery life issue.

The camera does what it is supposed to do. Setting up and operating it is uncomplicated. The costs for the cloud services are very high and the handling of the ‘fair use policy’ is not transparent for the owner of the camera. The subscription is cancelled by Arlo and an even more expensive subscription is proposed. No, thank you.

I have a number of different ARLO indoor and outdoor cameras, plus a doorbell. The outdoor Ultra 2 camera with 4K is excellent. The 4K images both daytime and night time are excellent, so clear. The battery life during the colder months gets reduced. I have invested in a solar charging panel for one camera and a couple of spare batteries and a 2 port charger to facilitate easy replacement.

Mostly works OK but triggers too often and as a result the battery runs down very quickly (as well as way too many false alerts). It also struggles to link to the hub which is not that far away. That link needs to be as strong as typical wifi router link.
