Wind-Like Noise Issue in Left Side with ANC On
I bought the Marshall Monitor II about a year ago. Before that, I had been using the Marshall Major II for around seven years and was really happy with it. I also enjoyed using the Monitor II. It's very comfortable to wear, and the ANC features were satisfying for my needs.
However, I started to hear a constant wind-like noise in the left earcup when ANC is turned on, even when the headphones are not connected to any device via Bluetooth. I know ANC headphones can be overly sensitive to environmental noise, but this sound is abnormal and persistent. It stops when I turn off ANC.
But if I can't use the ANC, there's no point in paying this much for a pair of headphones. I sent it back today for return and I’m now waiting for the process. Thankfully, it happened just one month before my warranty expired.
According to what I found online, other people have also experienced this issue. I’m not sure how common it is, but if I were buying again, I’d probably choose a different brand or model. Once I receive a replacement, I’ll post an update about the second pair too.
