Great router compared to my isp router. Stronger signal and great customization

I am very impressed with this ASUS combination Modem and Router, especially with the accompanying app. Once you have downloaded the app and installed it on your smartphone, setup is both quick and easy. Can definitely recommend.

Laite hyvin muotoiltu ja visuaalisesti säädettävällä valoefektillä saa juuri sopivan valon laitteeseen, tai jättää sen pois. Laiteen käyttöliittymä on selkeä ja helppokäyttöinen. Lisäarvoa laitteessa tuo USB-liitin, johon saa asennettua suoraan verkkolevyn, joka toimii omana yksityisenä pilvenä.

Olen rakentanut kotiautomaatiota ja noin 45 laitetta wifi-verkossa. Edellinen reititin ei enään jaksanut pitää kaikkia laitteita verkossa, joten tuli päivityksen aika.

Tämä reititin jakaa ip-osoitteet nopeasti ja laitteet pysyvät verkossa. Minulla on myös kovalevy kiinni reitittimessä. Esim. videot käynnistyvät nopeasti ja myös videossa eteenpäin hyppääminen on nopeaa. Kiinteiden ip-osotteiden antaminen laitteille on tehty todella helpoksi.

Ei tarvitse käyttöohjeita lukea, eikä Googletella. Helppokäyttöinen ja nopea laite. Olen täysin tyytyväinen hankintaan.

Toimiikohan jäähdytys oikein, kun se on asennettu ylösalaisin :)

Tarpeena oli verkkoyhteyden laadun parantaminen ja WiFi ax:n sulauttaminen samaan boksiin. Tässä kaikki onnistui. Vanhalla operaattorin tarjoamalla boksilla sai 70-100 / 10 megasesta yhteydestä ilman bufferbloattia max 50 / 5 megaa. Tällä melkein täydet. Lisäks erillisestä WiFi ax boksista pääs eroon. Toki onhan pöntöllä hintaakin 😅

Tuote vastaa hyvin omaa tarvettani 1000 MB/s netin jakamiseen, mutta todennäköisesti vähän ylihinnoiteltu.

Cannot get set up on new Fibre broad band. Asus help desk REALLY SLOW and no resolution after 2 weeks of trying.

Superb router I can’t fault it in anyway, definitely recommend it if you a looking for something with high scalability and built in security.

Tämä todellakin toimi, ainakin itselläni otsikossa mainitulla periaatteella.

Ohjelmisto (firmware) oli suhteelisen tuore, eikä jokin ikivanha kuten yleensä.

Alkuasetukset kuntoon, sitten menoksi. Laittetta ei ole tarvinnut hieno säätää

alkuasetusten jälkeen. Laite on käytössä Telian Vdsl2 verkossa.

Nopea ja helppo käyttöönotto. Löytyy vaativammallekin käyttäjälle säädettävää, mutta jo perusasetukset riittää monelle. Hyvänä ominaisuutena laitteen päivityksen ajastaminen vaikka yöaikaan ja ajastettu buutti hiljaiseen aikaan vaikka joka yö.

Täydellinen Pelaamiseen ja nopeutti nettiäni täyteen 1gb nopeuteen :)

Easy to set up. So many features. Pack full of security features.

Almost perfect and would have have had 5 stars but for two items.

Firstly, the single use button on top of the device which has multiple uses. There should be a button for each use, especially given the price.

Secondly, slightly difficult to set up but this really isn't a big issue because when it is it performs really well.

The build quality of this router compared to other brands is also very good and it is the first time I have purchased an ASUS router.

As mentioned....almost a 5 out of 5!!

Extremely fast when setup. I did have a firmware upgrade issue but there are articles on how do downgrade after. Failed upgrade. Comes with a European and U.K. plug which is useful. Includes VPN support so can access when outside the home. Good set of features for the pride

Excellent - wifi 6 is so good have eliminated all extenders

Probably the best DSL router one can get these days.(July 2022)

Anyone still using router from ISP and experiencing any kind of problem, should buy DSL-AX82U.

Very easy set up, brought it to replace BT Hub was a bit worried as normally they don’t like you doing it, runs well and with added feature of different LED effects makes it worth it

Bought this to replace another 3rd party router as my Laptop is capable of using Wi-fi 6 and my old one was not a wi-fi 6 modem/router It works well but I am only giving it 4 stars as I found it very complicated to set up initially. Instruction Manual assumes a technical knowledge which I and many others do not possess.

I split the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands on the intial setup but it was occasionally dropping the 2.4GHz band connection - particularly to my Sky Q box which then required the password to be re-input which was an absolute pain. I eventually tweaked some settings, enabled dual band smart connect and connected the Sky Q box with an ethernet cable instead and so far so good

I also had trouble getting an old kindle to access the internet after the Asus was set up and had to do some googling on how to set it up so that it could be used ( added a guest account without passwords etc). This was not a problem with my old modem/router of a different brand

Now I have it hopefully properly set up it is good. It has definitely improved the speed on my laptop when accessing the internet on 5GHz - although it doesn't appear to have as good a 2.4GHz connection as my old router with the signal being less strong - which I don't understand as it is sitting in exactly the same place as my previous one

Overall, I am now happy but it took a while - and because I don't understand what many of the 'options' do, I am leaving them well alone in case I have more problems, which is a shame really as I may be missing out on things. It does what I need it to do though

Technically all works. Improvement not as much as hoped.

Navigation menus illogical in places.

Setup has major flaw. That is you need to allow redirects and popups in browser menu - many disallow by default.

Does not save ISP password! Support does not seem capable of doing more than referencing you FAQS totally irrelevant. Took me long time to find the redirect block was the problem and support appear unaware. Was on point of sending all equipment back.

Great router, easy setup and easy to use via the app.
