Had this for 3 years now and still feels new. No degradation in battery life using the battery care settings. Great screen and love the wide-screen format. This is my 4th sony phone in a row. I just wish the price of the new ones was lower as I'd love a 1 V for it's slightly bigger screen. Brilliant audio and excellent camera on my 5ii

The phone has served me very well over the years like other Xperia's have done before it. It is now time to move on with the Xperia 1 V. :)

I have been using this phone for 2years now and I have found in the most part it has been a great phone to use. All the functions are simple to use and follow and with the regular updates it keeps the phone running smooth, it looks good and has that modern upto date appearance whilst being compact and not bulky. There has been only one issue I have come across and that is the camera, it doesn't happen all the time but has been enough to frustrate me at times especially with important pictures and videos. After taking pictures and videos they will save to my phone in the normal way but when I go back to view them at a later date it says the file cannot be found or doesn't exist or is corrupt. On the whole I have been happy and have now upgraded to the Xperia 1 lV

I've had this phone for 18 months now and can't fault it. The things that I look for in a mobile phone are, 5G, battery life, picture quality both video and photo, not forgetting internet access. A headphone socket, which is now becoming a rarity on high end products. The phone has to be easily handled, not too big or too small. Put all these things together in a stylish, quality product that is your 5G phone come mini computer . Sony have set the standard yet again.

Excellent & full control over camera settings, great for watching video content, fast & high performing phone

I've had my 5ii for a year, more or less and when it was running on Android 11 it was absolutely fantastic... couldn't fault it at all.

I'm always hesitant to update to a new android as they can be notoriously temperamental with Sony phones but I thought that by now it should be ok.

Unfortunately my fears were realised and since updating to 12, my phone crashes, freezes and needs a force restart anywhere between 3 and, on a really bad day about 8 times a day.

This is tedious to say the least and I wish I'd followed my instinct and stayed on 11 because this is a great phone otherwise.

Please make a software fix soon Sony!!

Well featured smartphone with an excellent display and great camera and video apps. Battery life is also very good, with smart charging to prevent the battery ageing due to overcharging e.g. overnight. Makes up for the lack of wireless charging!

When I bought the phone the battery lasted 2 days(I do use like 90% of features) and then went to India and some low life stole the phone and got replacement (refurb) and battery on lasts a day

I've had this phone 6 months and I love it . fast and full of features. The pro camera and apps means I hardly use my camera. Battery life is very good and charges up fast. I've always been a fan of Sony phones strayed twice in 15 years always regretted and returned to Sony.

I bought my Sony Experia 5 II as I have bought many Sony devices in the past which I have been very happy with. Unfortunately this phone is terribly let down by its very poor reception which I have since discovered has been the same for many users.

Great camera and some great features but as a phone it is very very poor.

I do like Sony products but I will not be purchasing another Sony phone.

Apart from wireless charging and Pricing. It's excellent mobile.

I like this phone as it does not have the bloated add on software of other android phones. The battery life is far better than the Samsung galaxy I had before.

Fast , well built phone with excellent camera

Only issue is fingerprint only saves 3 fingers and not very well...

I bought this mobile about a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. I am glad I made the switch from a Samsung now!

This is my 4th Sony smartphone in a row.I love this new.

I look for longevity in my tech so when I buy it I want the best quality parts. I've only had 2 smartphones since 2014, the first was the Xperia Z2 and my 2nd was the Xperia 5 II. Both times I bought I compared the specs with competitor phones and considered the Sony products the best. I particularly like the camera technology, I really appreciate the way photos are captured as I see things instead of artificially enhanced by default. I'm no expert with cameras but the pro apps are excellent when you are prepared to try out the settings. The overall design is perfect for me too, headphone jack and expandable memory, 21:9 format - there is nothing I dislike about the product. And like all Sony products the phone looks fantastic, clean and uncluttered and easy to use.

The sound system is very good, but the microphone feels like the cheapest part in the phone
