Only Lasted 3.5 years
The tv has a 2 second lag from the remote to the tv and the keypad on the back has never worked even when we bought a new one it still doesnt work. The settings are over complicated. The actual screen is slightly fuzzy and now has decided to die after 3.5 years. On the positive side the ambilight is really good and I will be sad to not have it on any future tv I buy.

Tv seems pretty basic, remote feels low end and cheap! Have yet to be able to use any smart functions as there’s something wrong with the wifi. Purchased a week ago reported fault immediately and Phillips are sending software to try but if that doesn’t work will have to wait for an engineer. Am not impressed.

When I 1st turned the TV on I was a little disappointed with the picture and how it ran,but once you have set the TV to your preferences and downloaded the apps you like (with it being Android tv you can install apks) so you can map the remote to buttons of your choice and obviously side load any app you can think of. The ambilight looks amazing and takes viewing to a new level, never owned a Phillips tv before this but would definitely recommend it I only gave it 4 stars as I think you have to be quite tech savvy to get the most out of it

So just after 2yrs mark the screen went black - TV is working just not the back light so screen remains black. Trying to fix it just now but I'm so disappointed. Its second Philips TV that breaks after 2yr mark. I love the ambilight feature but I might need different manufacturer if Philips will have such issues.
Very, very disappointed and tbh I was happy with it for the time it was working.

It seems this is a relative common problem with this model. In my case, right after the warranty had expired the tv went totally black. Everything else is working (sound, ambilight, even the images are visible using a torch). But no backlight at all.

I purchased this for our main Philips TV replacement but I am disappointed. The TV has arrived with large area white spots visible in the night on dark scenes from the back-lights. From Philips customer support told me that it is normal and not replaceable. Also some 4k channels does not go smoothly / freeze from time to time. I am also missing old-style RCA/S-Video/Scart connectors for old equipment. The sound is OK, but not excellent.

This tv was with a good price/quality relationship but this doesn't mean that we don't have better tvs, i.e. with better image quality, also inside Philips we have it, the question is if we are in a position or not to get it by paying twice or even more. In my case I'm a fun of Philips Ambilight since long time ago, I was previously with a 47PFL8404H/12 for more then 15 years, only side ambilight and still with an amazing image quality but it costed me more then what I've paid now for a 65" 4K TV.

The colours are amazing, the sound is dolby atmos, 65inch screen is like being at the cinema, easy to set up and no problems whatsoever.

I was watching TV with my family when to our surprise the TV just stopped working. We heard the sound, we thought it was a TV operator problem but we realized it was a TV problem because nothing else appears on the screen. Not on TV, Youtube, nothing, no image.

TV has fundemental issues producing HDR images. Picture is grey and washed out with SD images looking far more vibrant and impactful. Also has issues displaying dolby vision in anything other than 8bit. Build quality also leaves a lot to be desired with poor fitting panel gaps and laughable light bleeding.

I’ve had this television for over a year now and it is the worst TV I’ve owned by a large margin. IPlayer and Amazon Prime regularly fail to work and go to a blank screen or freeze and the TV constantly seems like it is struggling to process any commands from the remote, taking ages to think about things. Continuous updates to the software are required, which take ages and appear to make no difference to the TV’s failings.
I questioned whether it was a good idea to buy anything by Philips prior to buying the TV and I now really wish I’d bought from another manufacturer.

Vuoden ollut käytössä. Muuten hyvä mutta todella hidas käyttöliittymä. Luulisi että tämän tasoisissa televisioissa olisi vähän panostettu käyttäjämukavuuteen

got to b honest the p5 processor is tops,only problem i have is the tv will not let you form a list of favourite channels so you have to learn the numbers of each channel which does irritate me, i forget them tried everything but cannot make a favourite list,infact just ordered the newer model 9005 hope this is better

Recently bought this Philips tv as my old one decided to stop working. So spent some time looking at different brands. I then came across this tv, after comparing and reading reviews I decided to buy it. I knew people were having issues with picture quality so I prepared that I was going to have to do some tweaking and now I have a really good picture. The issues I'm having with the tv is that the motion blur messes with my eyes. I have tried all settings and even tried turning it off but I can still see it, I find movie motion setting is the best but not perfect. The tv seems to do a hard reset while watching Netflix or YouTube on the actual tv itself, so while watching a film on Netflix it will freeze but the sound is still playing then it will reset itself. The WiFi connection is unstable as it keeps dropping, there's no issues with my router as all my other devices are fine. And the last issue is that once, when on the home screen, the picture was shaking, so like all the apps were moving side to side slightly, and all the images were shaking. So I'm undecided on what to do with the tv at the moment, im not overly impressed.

Hyvät säädöt, mutta Esim. mustaa ei saa täysin mustaksi.
Helppo käyttöön otto.
Ainoa iso miinus, että minulle lähetettiin uutena selvästi jo käytössä ollut yksilö, takana näkyy seinätelineen jäljet (kuvassa näkyy himmeästi).

This television is outstanding. The ambilight is a great addition. I tweaked my picture settings and what can I say, it’s such a great picture now! Out of the box I found the picture to be rather grainy, especially on dark background, however, with the right tweaking I’ve never seen a picture as good as this. Certain settings that you may feel will boost your picture quality are best turned off in my opinion, such as colour enhancement. I played around and got it to a great standard. Sky Q and YouTube in UHD/4K are amazing. I would definitely recommend this TV. I know some reviews have said the picture isn’t great, but with the right tweaking it can be. I’ve attached a photo to this review to show how I managed to boost the television’s quality. Overall I’m a really happy customer. I’ve always used a different TV brand, however I think I might just have been converted to Phillips now! Brilliant :-)
