Way to slow decoding VPN limit is around 1/4 of the speed. Straght through

Excellent signal strength and ability to customise it. Over 30 devices connected pretty much all the time. Only down side is web app gives you some features, phone app gives you some, neither does all of it. Also it is sometimes behind the times, internet usage at 100 prevent and I know which device it is but router says it's not even connected on some pages so a bit unreliable info. Love the aimesh feature.

Awesome router, just setup and let it do the rest. No problems at all. If any just reboot.

Reilun kuukauden käytössä ollut laitos ja tunnelmat ristiriitaiset. Toisaalta uuden karheat läppärit sekä pöytäkone liikauttelevat suuria tiedostoja nyt huomattavasti jouhevammin kotitoimiston verkossa NAS-purkin kanssa. Toisaalta taas reitittimen epäselvät valikkoratkaisut ovat osaltaan niin raivostuttavia että porttiohjauksenkin löytämiseen tarvittiin googlea, ja piti uudelleen kirjautua pari kertaa laitteeseen.

Harmia aiheuttaa myös satunnainen "kaatuilu" jostakin syystä Wifi-verkko vain ei aamulla ole yhdistettävissä, ja laitteen uudelleen käynnistäminen korjaa tämän kuitenkin aina. Nyt asetettu ohjelmallisesti käynnistymään uudelleen päivittäin yöllä.

Aikaisemmin olen käyttänyt kustomoituja Firmwareja (Tomato, DD-WRT) omissa reitittimissä, tämän kanssa ilmeisesti perustavanlaatuisia haasteita rautapuolella saada koodattua näitä yhteensopiviksi. Merlin toki on, mutta ei tuo helpotusta valikkoahdistukseen.

Kokonaisuutena, jos perusominaisuudet riittävät ja vaikka tarvetta nopealle tiedonsiirrolle on kotiverkossa niin voin suositella. Muuten selviät varmasti halvemmallakin ja hieman yksinkertaisemmalla kokoanisuudella.

Great router with fast connection speeds of over 1000mbs in a different room even with the PC antenna behind the PC case. Lots of useful features for future use and comprehensive built in online safety. Small footprint and the extra 2.5gbs ethernet port are a huge benefit too. The only disappointment was that my A15 TUF Gaming laptop did not come with a WiFi6 compatible M.2 card so I had to buy and fit one to get the most from RT-AX86U. Generally very pleased.

Halusin vaihtaa internetliittymäni mukana tulleen reitittimen reitittimeen jossa minulla on käytössäni selkeät välineet muokata reitittimen ominaisuuksia, suojaustasoja jms. Muutamien päivien tutkimuksien jälkeen valintani osui tähän eikä se ole pettänyt. Laitteen asentaminen oli helppoa ja puhelimeen asennettava app on selkeä ja helppo käyttää. Reitittimessä on pelaamiseen ja erityisesti langattomaan pelaamiseen tarkoitettuja elementtejä ja jos niitä ei tarvitse, voi ne jättää huomiotta. Reitittimen muotoilu ei ole skandinaavisen sisustuksen kanssa yhteensopiva mutta plussana ulkonäöstä sanottakoon että yhdellä napin painalluksella saa reitittimestä kaikki valot pois jos laite on keskeisellä paikalla eikä pidä välkkyvistä valoista.

Good router overall for my needs, however this was a warranty replacement due to the first one dying after 18 months with power related fault.... so there is some issues there I guess.

Easy and fast setup with Asus router app. Good signal strength in 2 floor house. Fast and consistent wireless speeds alltime. Has been working without issues or reboot for 2 weeks. Gaming experience was improved compared to previous dsl-ac88u router

Really nice powerful WiFi router - great firmware with lots of configurable features including remote access to allow monitoring of activity from anywhere. Strong WiFi performance and support for WiFi 6 capable devices. Space saving vertical integrated stand with clear activity indicators on the front of the unit showing all key information on the status of the router. Really cannot fault this unit in any way.

Asuksen reitittimet on aina olleet helposti käyttöönotettavia, eikä tämä tehnyt poikkeusta. Toisaalta ominaisuuksia ja konfiguroitavuutta on paljonkin eri tarpeisiin. Reititin on toiminut luotettavasti eri ikäisten tai -laisten asiakaslaitteiden kanssa, ja nopeutta riittää.

However, I would have like to see WAN aggregation support for "balance-rr" mode beyond the current "802.3ad" mode of software-based aggregaion. Thisi s because my modem can achieve 1.2Gbps in that bonding mode but I am limited to just 940Mpbs because of the lack of support for that mode.

Stop using your isp router this is the best router on the market I have a 500mbps fttp package and was only ever seeing 350mbps download speeds and frequent drop outs on my Wi-Fi since installing this router I’m getting download speeds of 500+mbps and no Wi-Fi drop outs the Wi-Fi range is amazing.with a little bit of tech knowledge It’s not that difficult to set up you just plug the Ethernet cable from your ONT into the Wan port apply your settings and your way.

Cant fault the router itself but setting up was a bit of a pain.

Followed the instructions and when i was asked to login to finish setup it always said wrong details entered, so had to reset and try again. Six times later i got in then the app wouldn't work so not a good start but now its running its doing well.

Pitkään ja luotettavasti palvelleen RT-AC68U:n tilalle uusi Asus reititin. Käyttöliittymä erittäin hyvä ja selkeä, ja siksi käyttöönotto todella helppo. Kantavuus riittää isompaankin kämppään.

I researched a lot of routers and finally settled on the AX86U. And I must congratulate myself on an excellent choice. As per the many reviews it is easy to set up. However I did have a lot of trouble with the devices that connected to it. These wouldn't reconnect or couldn't see the network etc. Worst culprit was my Sonos kit and it took me a couple of days to completely sort it all out. The ASUS is definately performing better than my Virgin Hub 3 but that was to be expected. It's too early to tell if its worth the money I paid for it or whether it would have been better going for a lower spec router eg the AC86U. Currently I'm pretty happy with it and I guess that's what matters.
