Huomautan tässä alussa kaikille extenderiä harkitseville, että tuote vaikuttaa kuvanlaatuun sekä 2x mukaisesti kertoo aperture lukua.

Extenderi on TOSI jykevä palikka ja istuu kameraan&linssiin tiivisteiden kanssa hyvin tiukasti.

Itse käytän extenderiä 100mm-500mm linssin kanssa, jolloin extender rajoittaa linssin 300mm-500mm zoomiin [600-1000].

Jos harkitset Extenderin ostoa on tärkeää, että käyt Canonin kotisivuilla tarkastamassa, että laite toimii omistamasi linssin kanssa. Kyseinen extenderi ei nimittäin sovi yhteen monien linssien kanssa.

Laite itse soveltuu tilanteisiin, joissa kuvan tai videon croppaaminen jälkikäteen ei tuota tarpeeksi suurta kuvaa kohteesta. Esim. Lentokoneet, linnut tai muu kaukainen kohde.

Kuvan laatu voi olla linssin normaalia kykyä heikompi, kun käytät extenderiä.

Tämän takia useat cropattavat kohteet eivät hyödy extenderistä. Suosittelen tutkimaan youtubesta kuvanlaatua käsitteleviä videoita.

I bought this a short while ago works well but a big mistake by Canon limiting the range from 300 to 500mm who wants to walk around with the barrel extended with the extra risk of dust or moisture getting in. Overall a great product.

I am happy with the extender

maybe i should have checked the specs more thoroughly, but this does NOT turn your RF100-500 into a 200-1,000 as it has a massive extension tube that protrudes into the lens barrel so the lens only retracts to 300 (ie 600) so you can't easily walk around with this when its attached as it makes the lens too big. Guess sits fine if its attached to a tripod and you are not going anywhere, but if you are shooting wildlife and they / you start coming closer you going to be wanting to take this off. this is a VERY weird deign choice - could they not just have made the tube itself bigger ?

like i say it does show this in the specs, so maybe my fault :

A mechanism which limits the zooming of the RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM zoom range (300 to 500 mm) prevents the lens elements hitting those of the extender.

but it has kind of limited the usefulness of this lens as its robbed me of bot portability and zoom length.
