Now on my 4th remote, on all of them the centre wheel broke. Very very poor! Great TV let down by it's remote

broken controller MR20GA. since it has better features than the replacement new model, is it possible to order the original one from you?

Having bought an expensive LG CX OLED tv which is excellent, the experience is ruined by a cheaply made remote which upon reading other reviews here has an obvious design fault. The rubber scroll wheel no longer operates and just spins. On inspection there is a very thin plastic spindle which appears to break very easily. Very disappointed

TV is great (except for awful WebOS home page) but the magic remote is terrible. You have to press each button hard 2 or 3 times before it responds and it is so slow. Typing any words in with the on screen keyboard is painful. Easier with the mouse mode but that is also poor ergonomically. I used an older LG TV with its remote recently and that was ten times better. Given the price of these smart TVs, this remote is a disgrace and ruins the experience every time.

When I purchased my new LG TV I loved this remote. Great functionality and saves time, however after a few months the scroll button pushed in and despite my efforts to get working again it never did. In addition to this the side buttons no longer work properly. I can’t seem to find a replacement remote either. Such a shame as TV quality is excellent.

Overall good remote with a lot extras my only concern so far for 4 months of using is that the rubber buttons especially guess which one those for volume, I have to press it so hard to work that sometimes I just use my phone to do that so disappointed this remote should be very easy to operate, the OK wheel so far hold on I can see people complaint that get broken very easy this is maybe because you ha e to press other button hard and we press that one hard to so that what is causing the damage my remote is slightly different

Same experience as many other here, my remote scroll button broke after relatively little use. Poor quality device.

Hi have had two of these magic wands and both have broken due to the roller button breaking. Poor quality

Not owned my tv long had no problem till now and the remote scroll button has broken,usually I would blame my kids but I was using it with very light pressure when it broke very disappointed,I see this is known problem

I love this remote control so much and having a mouse is what makes it special. I would never consider switching to another brand purely because if the remote control.

I agree with all the bad feedback about the Magic Remote the OK button is a poor design, my husband who is an engineer fixed it a few times but eve he has given up now. He's taken a photo of the offending item and says "its only 1.8mm no where near strong enough"

The magic remote thumb wheel is a very flimsy design and the push button is so easy to break.

They've removed the play, stop/pause etc. buttons. This is the primary function of a lot of apps. Including the in built recording function. TV guide is no longer accessible with a single button tap. Who designed this rubbish? And for whom? Now looking for a dumb remote for my lgtv. Keep it simple please!

My remote came with my 4k tv, it took a while to get used to the remote but now it's one of the best things about my LG television. Easy to hold and intuitive. The only down side is that LG don't make them compatible with all their televisions.

I absolutely love LG products and the new TV is lovely BUT for the awfully designed Remote Control.

It's buttons are very small, so close to each other they are easily miss-pressed, plus the actual design is almost tubular, so forget about leaving the remote on a sofa arm etc as it rolls off.

Since buying this Tv we have had nothing but issues with the remote. Button icons disappeared quickly. The main function, the pointer, randomly works but rarely. This Tv’s main feature was the remote but actually is it’s Achilles heal. EVERYDAY this remote is a pain. LG you got this so wrong it’s not funny. What have you done to sort this out. Myself and others will no doubt not be buying LG products based on this experience.

I bought an LG TV about 18 months ago which came with the magic remote, being able to scroll and use the cursor to type was cool but it goes through batteries so quickly.

I spent a fortune and had to change them constantly (think every week) before I invested in rechargeable. Now when it runs out I have to try to use the app to watch TV whilst the batteries charge which doesn’t work smoothly at the best of times. DEFINITELY get a standard remote if possible .. or have a massive box of batteries at the ready.

Aivan älyttömän hyvä taikasauva. Parempaa kaukosäädintä saa hakea vaikka hinnan puolesta onkin hiukan kallis mutta itse sain sen bundlena telkkarin kanssa halpaan hintaan. Sauvaa heiluttamalla saa hiiren esille telkkariin joka on kyllä syntynyt uudeksi pakolliseksi asiaksi kaukosäätimissä, sillä on niin kätevä ja nopea kirjoitella salasanoja ja etsiä mitä ikinä etsiikään. Paluuta takaisin kömpelöön naputteluun ei ole. Aivan 5/5 tuote varsinkin jos sen bongaa alennuksesta!

Hi. I know people are having a moan about the Magic remote but I love it and all you need to do is have a play with it. If you want “info” all you do is press right wheel arrow (right if the thumb wheel) once then again and it highlights the programme box, click the wheel (like select or enter on the wheel) and it brings up info. Back button loses it. Takes about half a second. Not a big issue really and a good remote for an excellent tv. Cheers LG

I have spent the better part of two hours trying to find a pdf manual that provides DETAILED instructions on how to set up the full range of features on the remote. All that I find is a short document that simply points out what each of the keys does - not how to set them up. Stoooopid

After being told by the shop that you get a smart remote so you can use voice commands and pointer on screen I bought the LG 75”. I got it home to find the remote doesn’t have this on it and also you can’t get ITV Hub or ALL4 in the apps. Sound quality isn’t great as once you get up to 45 it doesn’t get any loader up to 100, so what’s the point in having it go to 100?
