I love the camera. The autofocus is excellent, it gives me all the creative control I need and it is fairly intuitive to use. I would love to see some quality 3rd party lenses available to provide wider choice to supplement the excellent Canon full frame lenses.

Since owning this, I am over the moon with the quality and features. I use it with animal eye tracking for my wildlife photos.

After using Canon DSLR’s for many a year I decided recently to buy an R6 mirrorless. Only had a few weeks but I’m glad I

made the change. Once I get used to the slightly different layout from my 5D and the changing of settings interface I’ll be 100% happy.

Eos R6 has been with me for a month. I was very happy with it, and it opened up another door in photography for me. I like it very much for portrait shooting. Combined with the RF50 L F1.2, it can bring good background blur and depth of field effects. Besides that, the video performance is adequate for most scenarios. Also, portraits look great in videos. Even when shooting at 1080P, you can get sharp images from the machine.

Using this camera has reawakened my interest in photography. Getting to understand the many functions and settings has taken me time, but it has been an enjoyable process.

Any faults in the final image have been mine, not the cameras.

Well worth saving up for.

I appreciate the lighter weight vs.my DSLR though would like it to be ever lighter. Photo quality and image stabilisation are good. The many features are useful once navigating around the menus has been understood. Focusing quickly when people or animals are the subject is good but on anything else e.g. a flower takes too long as you cannot half-press the shutter button then recompose (except if using touch screen or full auto).

At the moment only using in af mode , but great results printing off at A3 , well pleased , I need to find a some one for a bit of how to use correctly .

Bought this digital R6 a few months ago to replace a 5D mark 2 and must say I'm impressed

I switched to the full-frame mirrorless camera from a crop-sensor DSLR (Canon 70d) and the difference is night and day.

Thankfully everything learned with the DSLR was transferable to this newer camera as most of the functions work the same. There is no digital display on the top edge, this is saved for the R5 and better however it isn't missed as the large display on the rear and also the EVF shows everything you need.

Image quality is excellent largely do to the excellent auto focusing system and in-body image stabilisation. Similarly video quality is also excellent and with the camera topping out at 4K60fps.

I had intended to buy the R7 as I think this was the closest equivalent to the 70D but decided against it due to lack of available RF lenses and no support for a battery grip.

Huikea ero EOS R:ään erityisesti lintukuvaukseen. Seuraa lintua / silmää uskomattoman hyvin jopa RF 600 f11-objektiivilla.

Bought the camera just before our holiday. Still learning all the settings but very impressed with what I have found so far.

I bought this just before my daughters wedding- amazed how good the focus is, and also the low light high iso performance was incredible at the wedding reception

I repurchased it in October. The first one arrived faulty, the screen did not work after the exchange was perfect. I couldn't be happier with this camera. Works perfectly fine with all my old and vintage lenses.

love this camera had lots of canons before so was easy to use. comfortable to handle easy to read shame about the missing top plate, which you get on the r5 would be useful in low light or evenings. cant fault5 the camera dials in the right place and easy to reach. still learning and enjoying it....

I’m now 73 years old and don’t get out as often as I like, so the R3 or R1 were not really an option. Battery life of the R6 was really my only concern, I hate constantly changing batteries during a shoot. I needn’t have worried the USB C power port is a life changer. The power bank slips into my pocket, making the whole thing lighter than my 1Dx with ten times the battery life of the standard set up.

Purchased earlier this month and have completed two small little personal projects. After a steep learning curve I am getting to grips with the basics of the camera and look forward to some of the finer points in due course. Quiet expensive so unable to also purchase dedicated lenses and I'm using my existing Canon lenses with the adaptor. I am finding this easy to use feels good in the hand. Only problem I did have is outwith Canon's scope as my processing software did not support the new R6 and therefore had to take up Adobe Lightroom, another steep learing curve.

The camera is fantastic and bought to replace my old canon 7d.

I also use a Canon 1 DX.

Compact and does everything it says on the tin.

Major downfall is the Cr3 RAW instead of Cr2.

I have an old MacBook Pro 2012 with a Catalina operating system and iPhoto doesn’t recognise Cr3, neither does my version of Lightroom.

So does it mean that I’ll have to I’ll have to invest in new equipment?

Cr3 Works ok in Photoshop though.

So a fantastic camera but a nightmare re the Cr3 RAW files.

this mirrorless camera comes up to all exceptions I had been told about it makes life alt easier to take and download photos

Kuukauden käytön jälkeen havaintoja. Harrastuksena urheilukuvaus sisällä. Kasvo/silmätarkennus ei ehkä kuitenkaan ihan joka tilanteessa paras vaihtoehto. Helposti nappaa kauempaa väärät silmät. Pistetarkennus on oikein hyvä verrattuna 5d mk III:een. Objektiivien hinta on kyllä aika kova. Lompakko ei oikein riitä niihin vaikka 70-200 F2,8 ostinkin. Tosin vanhat EF-objektiivit tuntuu toimivan ihan hyvin

I bought the R6 six months ago as a replacement for my 5D MK3. Main subject i photograph is wildlife, the autofocus and tracking is next level i could not be happier! the success rate per shot for sharpness has increased from 2 in 10 shots to at least 8 in 10. Build quality is outstanding, already had a few soakings in heavy rain and no problems. image quality is fantastic the R6 handles higher ISO settings very well, i find i spend a lot less time editing than before.
