Considering the ZV-1A Compact Vlogging Camera came out 5 years ago it is still very current. I use mine mainly for travel and photography. The images produced are of exceptional quality and so easy to achieve. A brilliant compact camera with excellent build quality with more than enough options to satisfy the most enthusiastic amateur photographer. It's a 1 inch sensor that punches well above it's weight aided by a quality lens.

Such good quality! I’ve never used a sony camera, but this is so easy to use and to learn how to use!!

Costs a lot for what it is. Does have good settings but the cost is very high, especially since there’s no built in flash so you if you need one you’d have to purchase one separately

Just brought this camera specifically for shooting video on a gimbal. I have to say it is still one seriously powerful and versatile camera at the price. I am a seasoned sony a7s series user and owner. It offers stabilisation in lense and body, slow mo, 4k recording, external input/outputs, great audio quality, 24 70 zoom offering f1.8 at certain ranges, and many other features. Still blows away the competition at the price. It has features that the mark 2 does not have. It is viewed by many as a vlogging camera, however in the right hands, it is a really powerful camera creating footage which can be equal to a high end premium gear. For those who are on a budget and require high quality video, you cannot go wrong with the ZV-1. Thank you Sony!!!

Kameran automaatti tarkennusjärjestelmä on loistava.

Battery life is very poor. Transferring photos from the camera to the phone is a huge pain and most times doesn’t even work. The app used to transfer the photos is so glitchy.

Ostin kameran Canon G7X mk 2:n seuraajaksi lähinnä reissuille, jonne en ota mukaan järkkäreitä. Kuvaan pääosin valokuvia, harvemmin videota. Kuvien laatu on mielestäni riittävän hyvä ja kamerasta löytyy myös tarvittavat manuaalisäädöt - itse en kuvaa kameroiden automaattiohjelmilla. Kuvat ovat tarkkoja ja värit mielestäni kohdillaan. Toki kuvia saa hieman editoida, mutta sen kuuluu kuvaukseen muutenkin. Tarkennus on nopea ja pieneksi kameraksi tällä saa etenkin hyvässä valossa myös melko laadukkaita henkilökuvia. Objektiivi on valovoimainen etenkin laajakulma-asennossa. Suuremmilla ISO-arvoilla kuviin tulee kohinaa, mutta tämä on pienemmillä kennoilla normaalia. Sääsuojausta kamerassa ei ole, joten kameran laukku on hyvä olla sateenkestävä. Videokuvausta varten minulla on erillinen gimbal kuvan vakauttamiseksi. Vara-akku on hyvä olla olemassa etenkin, jos kuvaa videota.

The camera is full of good features and is useful with the accessories that go with it.

This is my first proper camera and I'm very excited! I mostly purchased it to take photos and videos while travelling with the missus, and so far we've been just on one trip.

Even though it is a point-and-shoot, I still find the menus and settings a bit confusing as a total beginner, though the results are amazing! Really looking forward to using more and getting better at creating content!

I bought this to vlog from home, but the colours are dull and the footage is grainy even in a controlled environment.

Microphone: The in-built mic so worse than that of an iphone 12.

Battery life: Fully charged, the battery dies after 15 minutes of filming without fail.

Footage Transfer: The app to transfer files to your mac or iPhone is temperamental. It takes 1 hour to transfer a 5 minute video file, if you are lucky enough that it doesn't spontaneously cancel midway through.

Concensus: stick to your smart phone if it has a decent camera!

Hopefully it stays fresh and high quality, and won't stress me up

First this camera is small enough to fit into a coat pocket or an handbag, If you take a little time going throudh the menu system you will soon realize that it is quite easy to understand, the camera takes great pictures, the auto focus tracking focus and touch focus rarely let you down. You can shoot in fully auto mode for that quick moment resulting in decent pictures or if you have the time you can set the camera via mode button and slect manual and get the desired frane you want. The camera has different picture profiles you can choose and the buttons on the camera are well placed. if I had one small quibble it would be no view finder. The video options on the camera are vast, im only just starting to get into video. vlogging etc so I will have to update on that in the future. all in all a great little camera

Markkinoiden pienin ja kenties käytännöllisin videokamera. Harvassa näin kompaktissa paketissa tulee mukana nopeaa linssiä, sisäistä ND-suodinta ja kuvaprofiileja (hybrid log gamma nostaa kuvanlaadun aivan toiselle tasolle). Automaattitarkennus on myös näpsäkkä.

Valitettavasti kamerassa on muutama heikkous. Sisäisiä mikrofoneja en voi kuin ihmetellä. Niiden piti olla hyvälaatuiset, ja on suunniteltu hyvin erilailla kuin muissa kameroissa. Äänenlaatu on valitettavasti todella, todella heikko. Sisäiset mikrofonit tallentavat jatkuvasti tarkennusmoottorin tai linssin ääntä, ja puheeseen taltioituu omituinen kaikuefekti. Äänestä puuttuu myös täysin alapää, mikä tekee puheesta todella epämiellyttävän kuuloisen. Aluksi ajattelin omaavani viallisen kopion, mutta takuutarkastuksen jälkeen sanottiin vain, että kameran äänenlaatu on parametrien sisällä. Ei vakuuttanut minua. Toki käytämme lähes kaikki enimmäkseen ulkoista mikrofonia tällaisen kameran kanssa, mutta olisi ollut kiva saada edes käyttökelpoista ääntä kameran omilla mikrofoneilla. Sony RX100 kameran mikrofonit tallentavat paljon korkealaatuisempaa ja selkeämpää ääntä, mikä on mielestäni todella outoa. Vertailuja ja esimerkkejä ZV-1 huonosta äänenlaadusta löytyy helposti Youtubesta. Suosittelen tutkimaan tämän asian, varsinkin jos aikeissa ei ole käyttää ulkoista mikrofonia.

Toinen kompromissi on kameran pieni akku. Tämä kaveri syö niitä kuin karkkeja, kun kuvaat 4K-videota. Tämä ei sinällään yllätä kuvanlaadun ollessa näinkin korkea, joten vara-akkuihin saa investoida muutaman satasen.

Suosittelen kyllä vahvasti ZV-1 kameraa, jos etsit mahdollisimman kompaktia videokameraa. Tämän kanssa ei tarvitse säätää ND-suotimien kanssa, rolling shutter on minimaalinen, ja kuvanlaatu on varsinkin HLG-kuvaprofiililla kuvattaessa erinomaista. Toki kuvanvakain voisi olla tehokkaampi ja 5-akselinen, akku isompi ja äänenlaatu kuin mainoksissa, mutta koskaan ei voi saada kaikkia. Ei ainakaan näin pienessä rungossa.

Very good camera. Bought this camera as a replacement for Iphone 14 pro. For longevity and Quality.

I bought this a month a ago! Can’t wait to use this product and see what its capable of. So far have been amaze with the quality.

Small but still too big to just take with you. I either use a 100-400mm A73 or my mbike phone. Even my VERY much loved 16-35 mm F4 is redundant. Its time for camera design to take a jump and somehow integrate lens and sensor tech with mobile technology and give up on the camera box concept.

I've had my ZV-1 for about 3 years, it's been a love hate relationship.

The good: image quality, audio, and range of options in the menu

The bad: negotiating the menu, stabilisation, battery life, lens could do with being wider, fiddly buttons, and the nightmare menu.

I bought the ZV-1, thinking it was an upgrade for the X3000 - it wasn't

I bought the Sony zv1 as my first camera to start vlogging. Slowly getting used to all the settings however. Maybe it's operator malfunction . But I struggle to get Vidio to download to the Sony App.

I bought this camera to start a Youtube channel. It's perfect for the job, it's just the right size with loads of features.

The best bit has to be how easy it was to set up and get started. Big plus there are loads of accessories to grow and extend you usability.

So good my husband has bought one.
